That loss was very tough from our POV.

Looking back at things --- Penn State had zero points for the game's first 44 minutes.  Kevin Kelly (our field goal kicker) missed 2 kicks and we had another turnover in Michigan territory.  Michigan led 10-0 before PSU's end-of-the-3rd-quarter field goal.

Penn State had a pretty incredible offensive 4th quarter (outside of Robinson's pick to Leon Hall, which at the time I thought was going to be the game decider) --- but to win a big game, you have to do better than we did in the first 3 quarters.  Michigan's D, of course, had quite a bit to do with that.

Anyway, hoping for more games like that going forward.  It was a well-played game that Saturday afternoon in 2005.  It's amazingly been since 2002 (!!!) where both Michigan and Penn State were both ranked when they played each other.

the shock has worn off. They were teting to defend their school. Many PSU Alums that I talk to, now agree with the sanctions.

They now see the seriousness of the crimes, disappearance of a Prosecutor and the death of JoePa and "get it".

I am now starting to build some respect for them again.

I will always hate them. I'm sorry, that I'm not sorry. The fans doubt Joe Pa knew about the molestation. That is bullshit and they support him. F them!

As a guy five-sixths through a really weird Big Ten adventure (Michigan, B.S. [CMB, PolSci, 2006]; PSU, M.D. [2012]; Indiana, Ph.D. [Biochemistry, In progress]), I appreciate the melding of allegiances so long as Michigan always remains #1. I look forward to seeing a copy.

Hey Seth,

I was a photo contributor for hockey in Hail to the Hoops and Hockey. I have photos from when Penn State played at Michigan. Do you know if they will be doing a hockey issue? I might be able to submit some photos.

Doubtful. It is basically a full-time job for at least 3 people (publisher, editor, art director) for 3 months to do one of these, and even our basketball-hockey book--with one of the largest hockey fanbases in the country--didn't make money.
