WBB at ohio Regular Season Finale on BTN Open Thread

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

On the final game of the regular season on the women's side, Michigan (20-8, 9-6) takes on ohio (16-12, 6-9) on the road in their only meeting of the season. Michigan has a great chance to win this game and get a coveted first round bye in the tournament next week.

Game is at Noon on BTN.

GO BLUE! BEAT ohio!

but I noticed all the negging of you recently in a couple other threads, threads in which (like this one) you posted nothing that was "redundant", "flamebait", "trolling" or "overrated".  On 2nd thought, maybe "overrated", but still obviously you're the target, for some reason, of serial blog-stalkers.  Kinda childish, don't you think?

To reset this thread, though, it's too bad the WBB team ran into a much-improved team of women Buckeyes.  This game, if played in the first half of the season, would have likely have gone the other way.  On the other hand, this game today, if at home rather than on the road, would have been a tough assignment for our women.

With the B1G Tournament just around the corner, it would have been nice to see us get a bye (which I assume will no longer be the case?) and some rest, as our gals look a little tired right now.  But with the senior leadership we have, I'm still confident they have a run left in them yet and can add a few games to the left side of the W/L ledger

I'm not condoning serial negging, but that guy has made a number of insensitive remarks here and on Twitter, with one of the ones here resulting in a temporary trip to Bolivian.

See below for the  Big Ten tourney scenarios. MSU is leading Wisconsin 40-34 with about 11 minutes left in the second half. If that lead holds, then Michigan will be the 5 seed.

I wasn't aware of his past transgressions around here.  Since he's already been punished with a Bolivian "Vacation", though, shouldn't that be enough of a penalty?  After all, he kept his cool in this thread until firing off a short comment at the serial neggers towards the end that really was nothing more than an acknowledgement that he was aware of the negging.  Otherwise, all the guy was doing, by posting updates and comments to this thread, was giving the WBB Team gratitude for  doing such a good job representing Michigan all season.

As long as he was behaving himself today, I don't see the point of that kind of behavior, which, IMHO, belongs on sites like MLive and RCMB, not here.

is incredibly stupid, but it's probably part of every community with a rating system. The best thing to do is just upvote the ones that shouldn't be downvoted and maybe sparingly make a comment , like you did here, if you think it's way over the line in a particular case.

A disappointing but not surprising loss, as OSU is fighting for an NCAA tourney berth and has been playing much better of late. Michigan is still in great shape to get into the NCAAs.

In regard to the Big Ten tourney, MSU is hosting Wisconsin right now, and that game will determine Michigan's seed and whether they get a first-round bye. If Wisconsin wins, Michigan will be the 4 seed and get a bye and play Friday, but if MSU wins, the Wolverines will be the 5 seed and have to play on Thursday vs. Indiana.

MSU held on to beat Wisconsin 54-48, so Michigan will be the 5 seed in the Big Ten tourney and play Indiana (the 12 seed) on Thursday at about 9:30 pm ET on the BTN.
