Way too specific predictions for 2012

Submitted by 1464 on

I'd like to piggyback off the topic that is two spots down.  Please humor me and post your very specific prediction for next year's football season.  It does not have to do with our record at all, but let us revisit this thread a year from now to see who may have their precognition hats on today.  Perhaps the person with the most specific and accurate prediction will be treated to a round of miniature golf by THE KNOWLEDGE, one in which THE KNOWLEDGE writes out the scorecard prior to the round, just to let his tagalong know who runs this stuff.  I'll start:

Mark Dantonio will blow the MSU game.  He will do so by calling for a fake field goal slightly more than halfway through the 4th quarter, with the Spartans leading by less than a touchdown.  This field goal would have been a long attempt, and the down is 4th and 1 or 4th and 2.  Michigan chews up most of the clock and scores a touchdown to win the game.

Bank on it.

in the Jerrydome against Alabama, Senior DT Will Campbell will burst through a double team by the Center and OG when Mattison correctly brings the house, predicting that Saban will buck normal trends and attempt a bomb to "set the tone" against Michigan. The Bama QB will manage to tuck the ball in at the last moment and attempt to run, but will turn into Craig Roh, where Campbell and Roh will combine for a 6 yard sacks at the 14 yard line.

The drive will result in a 3 and out. The ensuing punt will be 42 yards, no return.

...will be nominated, but come in second, for coordinator of the year. Mattison's second year back at UM will be considered solid, but the feeling will be that the offense is doing the heavy lifting. Fitz will be considered the UM Heismann candidate after he takes over the role of destroying ND's dreams. Following ND, Dilithium will become more and more known for running the offense and not making mistakes, but there will arise complaints that he isn't running enough, though the offense will average more than 40 points per game for the entire season. Major win in a bowl game where Denard runs for 200+ and throws for 200+ with one pick, 3 touchdown passes and 2 more running.

Thus it is spoken, thus it shall be.
