an add on for FireFox that will do this automatically for you. I forget the name of it. If nobody else has it I will find it and let you know. This is the easiest way I know of.

Flashgot works nicely for this. You can save these files as .flv files. There are a number of converters to other formats; alternatively, there's the k-lite mega codec pack to watch .flv files in windows media player. I think vlc will play .flv files natively.

I just download realplayer and check the option that allows for the popup window for in-browser downloads. That works for any browser.
