Way OT: Tron - Worst Movie of All Time?

Submitted by NomadicBlue on
So, before the showing of Inception that I saw last weekend, there was a preview for a new making of Tron. I remembered seeing it back in the 80's but I was really young and couldn't remember any details or if I liked it at all. So, I had the wife order it from the library so I could check it out (we just recently started getting DVD's from the library - it takes about a week on average, but its free!). After I watched it last night, I determined that it had to be the absolute worst movie that I have ever witnessed. I have seen lots of terrible movies and I usually enjoy them just for the comical aspect. With this, however, it was so bad it went right past funny and straight into painful (the only comical part was the outdated CG effects which I did appreciate). It was a complete trainwreck from which I could not avert my eyes. It somehow lacked all of the essential aspects of any movie - plot, dialogue, acting, character development, etc. Having said all of that - you gotta see this movie if you have never seen it or it has been 20+ years. Just to marvel in its horribleness. Go to the library, though. Don't pay for a rental. Does anyone have a movie they think might rival the pure awfulness that is Tron? I challenge you to name one! I know I may piss off some hard-core sci-fi fans with this one, but sorry. Its bad. Really, really bad. BTW. The only good part about this movie is that I now know where the image of Moses from South Park came from - those guys are pure genius.

As a connoisseur of bad flicks, it's hard for me to restrain myself here.

But allow me to proffer up one of the worst pieces of CRAP I've ever seen:

The Wicker Man (remake from 2006)

Nevermind that it doesn't hold a candle to the original film, Nicholas Cage is so full of stink that it would be on any "worst movie ever" list on its own.
