Way OT: Lindsey Vonn & Tiger Woods break up

Submitted by East German Judge on

With the Draft, Fight, Derby, Wings Playoffs all over, we are entering a serious sports dead period - luckily the Tigers & U of M Softball are playing well - so this hit the wires today that Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn are respectfully calling it quits:

So my questions, if you so choose to answer, are:

  1. Who is it a bigger loss for?
  2. Who will rebound quicker, i.e., who will get another celebrity bf/gf sooner?
  3. What are you drinking tonight?

And let the Perkins/Going Downhill jokes begin....

Surprised everyone seems to think its a bigger loss for her. She's the best in the world at her sport. He's a has-been with a toxic reputation. She'll be partying in the Alps and winning gold metals while he's busy missing cuts and cruising Perkins.

She's probably gotten almost as much pub from dating Tiger Woods as she has from skiing.  She's the most succesful women's skier in the US, if not ever, but for the most part unless you follow alpine ski racing the only time you hear of her is around the olympics or possibly the worlds.

By the time the next Olympics rolls around, Mikaela Shiffrin will be getting all the press and endorsements.

You just made me throw up a little bit in my mouth. This is now twice I've seen you say this. Age shaming females and being part of the problem by making them feel worthless when the clock turns 30 is so 1950s. I hope you don't have a daughter for her sake.

Lol sorry it's true? Several studies have been done on this subject matter. The fact of the matter is after 30 the script flips and men gain a more significant, if you will, advantage in terms of finding partners.

Again biology saying NOPE and women getting pissy about it.

Why thank you MGA, that is the nicest thing you have ever said about one of my posts!  Don't worry, I am sure one of yours will also make it.

Also, enjoy scanning my posting history and downvoting all of them at one time, as I know that it gives you such satisfaction that you "did your job" to improve the editorial content and integrity of MGoBlog.  In the meantime think happy thoughts....

Vonn, because I imagine it's harder for high-profile women to regress in social status. Water, and only wster, for nine more days. I do hope Tiger wins another major though, just to see if it reignites anything. we may never find out though.

Is it too late for a Friday Night WHAT ARE YOU DRINKING? thread???  Evidently not.  I'll have another Woodford, large cube ice and smidge of coke.  What the hell, everybody get a round, I'm buying...

The internet reports Lindsey Vonn is dating Al Borges.  Quote from Lindsey, "They don't call him gorgeous Al for nothing."

Remember, you heard it here first.  On the internet.

FWIW OP I upvoted you not because I'm particularly interested in either Tiger or Vonn's love life but because I cant believe the amount of crap you're taking for posting it.  It was a Sunday night with almost zilch going on and people are acting like you just bumped something really important off the front page.

Granted this type of "news" pales in comparison to something important like say.....Star Wars Day....or any "What are you drinking" thread but still.
