I'm not really one to rag on off-topic stuff, but I feel like this is a bit of a stretch. Has anyone ever heard of this guy before? Or am I just culturally deaf?

I did put "Way OT" just to clarify.  But yeah, I'm sure a lot of people haven't heard of him, especially here in Michigan.  He is big down south, mostly Louisiana.  He's had a few "hits" that would be played on radio stations nationally.  You probably don't actually care who he is anyway... haha

You're*

And you're wrong. Some of those in tune with modern, mainstream rap know about him, but "everyone under 21" is waaaay beyond a stretch.

I haven't heard his stuff before, but I liked it. I don't know of its some weird region-bias thIng, but I always seem to prefer norther rappers to southern rappers (with a handful of exceptions). I prefer Yeezy over Weezy any day of the week Also, I would recommend Macklemore if you haven't listened to any of his stuff before. His songs 'Wings' and 'Otherside' are two of the deepest rap tracks I've heard before.

Free Boosie..for those of you who are unaware, Boosie is a b list rapper who gained wide spread notoriety for his criminal trial and possible death row sentence.

Im not a Boosie fan but yea I've heard of him. Not big into down south, I'm more of an East Coast hip hop fan, throw in some underground, back packin and what not.

But if you're a fan of his music I guess this is good news, and if he really is innocent. Wouldnt want an innocent man to serve prison time.

I'm actually the complete opposite.  I like southern rap, but really don't like any of the east coast hip hop.

And you are right about it being good news.  There was really no evidence that he was involved in this murder, aside from one man's allegations.  The same guy then took the stand and said he was coerced into accusing Boosie based on police interrogations, which weren't recorded.  Then they were using song lyrics as evidence, which is nonsense.

Definitely not board worthy but ill dabble. I do listen to rap, however boosie is not very good. Not horrible, but def not good. Im surprised he was found innocent. He went from possibly going to death row to freedom. Dont really care either way, but this is surprising.

More shitty rap music coming soon. Please keep his parole very specific on zero singing or talking to music.

I feel a Lil' Woosie after listening to Lil' Boosie on Youtube.  So pretty much this guy is famous for his supposed criminal record... now that he has been proven innocent, is his career in trouble.  Or can he play the double jeopardy card and be all "Yup, I did it, yo."  Although that would definitely make a civil suit a lot easier...

PS: If anyone is looking for a little comedy, search for him on Wikipedia.  Among other gems:

"He worked with rapper C-Loc and his group Concentration Camp" (Nice name choice).

"joined growing record label Trill Entertainment which was backed by its CEO the late Pimp C of UGK."  Microsoft would solve the "uncool" problem by hiring Pimp C (if of course, Pimps A and B are unavailable) as their next CEO.

Welp, I guess MGoPoints are the similar to being overweight, once you get to a certain point, you might as well give up.

PS- I did find it funny you aggressively defended an accused murdered so... vehemently. I'd hate to see how you defend your mother.  I bet C-words would be droppin'.

I don't know much about this case, but I find his squeaky rap voice and bad haircut funny. There's a guy around here with the signature "Boosie fade dreads." I laughed so hard when I first read that.
