Not sure why this made me think of this, but I recently played golf with our new Senior VP. He was talking about how his kids had all grown up and left the house. After he finished he turned to me and asked, "are all your kids out of the house?" I had to laugh, because I am 30 and have no kids.

Sony can kiss my ass for not having backwards compatibility. Now if I buy a current gen system I'll have 3 fucking boxes in the back of my TV with a PS2 and a PS3.

Huh?? XB1 just announced a plan to emulate old games and have backwards compatibility.

PS3 originally had it and then got rid of it. Why? so Sony can charge you more $ so you have to buy old games that you already own. Via their PSN store to play them if you did sell your old stuff to make room.

B/C is one of the most requested features. so much so that Xbox took a shot at Sony when unveiling B/C by saying "we don't charge you money to play games you already own".

The lightning charger is way better than the previous.  Now if you want to knock on other "upgrade or too bad" apple policies sure.

Or rail on them for being just about the only company who doesn't use the IEEE standard plugs for USB and designs their own.  The next versions of universal plug to replace the current USB will be coming out soon and will be incredibly similar to lightning, charger ports and the charger ends themselves will have a longer life due to the design and they can be plugged in either way which also reduces wear and tear.

B/C isn't coming out until holiday season so..... And I'm solely a sports gamer. I still have my PS2 so I can play the NCAA games of the past that are still embarrassingly better than anything they came out with on the generation after. So XB1 probably won't support old NCAA games as there isn't a massive demand for original Xbox sports games. At least they're trying with a B/C function unlike Sony.

It's not going to matter when it comes out. They aren't going to magically be saved by a program that will have some of their 360 library eligible to download onto your XB1 HDD when Sony as is is selling about three times as many consoles globally per week than Microsoft is and selling more games.

B/C isn't going to change anything. Like every gen, it will come down to the games coming out for that console. Not if you can play old games on it.

Microsoft is "trying" with B/C trying to sway a chunk of their base back  who left for the PS4 after they lied about the Kinect being an integral part of their new system and it's impossible to have a Kinectless XB1, and also impossible for them to just take out DRM.  There is literally no games on their B/C program currently that is interesting.  And if they're stupid enough to put Halo on there and take away from sales for the MC Collection, then go ahead I guess.

Does Chromecast still force you to have the app casted from your phone though? That's a pain and why I stopped using mine altogether once the HBO Go app was finally launched on XBox One. I'd imagine HBO Go is an app on your smart TV (it is on my Samsung smart TV). Maybe it just needs an update.
