Crazy how average headphones can turn into something so major. Great marketing - just like the NFL playoffs. No wonder Dr. Dre is about to be a billionaire.
Definitely marketing genius with Beats. I have been involved in music production for the last 15 years, and I have to say that the Beats headphones are the biggest waste of money ever. $300 for headphones? You have to be a marketing genius to sell that. They have nice sound, and look kind of cool, but my $80 bose headphones from 2003 still sound better than those.

you obviously didn't get the memo that in order to be cool in public you need to have a pair of Beats headphones around your neck. Dr. Dre said so, and his law is enforced by hipsters everywhere.
Not quite a billionaire. His stake in Beats is reported to be around 20-25%.
Maybe some sort of crazy looking bracelet that tells you what time it is if you look at the right way. He'll give a few to his famous friends to wear out in public and he'll sell millions.
Nike's was much much better imo. Still cool, I really love these huge ads being put together for the WC.
