watching UCONN game in east TN

Submitted by mgowin on

I have a question on the ABC/ESPN coverage of the UCONN game. I will be watching the game in Knoxville TN this week. When I check the ABC/ESPN coverage map it shows the UK vs Louisville will be broadcast on ABC. ESPN has the Texas vs Rice game. ESPN 2 has the UCONN game or UCLA vs K State.

On the bottom of the coverage map it says "ESPN 2 will carry the reverse mirror of Connecticut-Michigan and UCLA-Kansas State" I'm not sure if I'm going to get see it or not and I'm not-so-mildly freaking out. Anyone have answers?

The Big 10's contract guarantees that a Big 10 game will be broadcast nationally on one of the ABC/ESPN channels.  You're going to see the game on ESPN2.

Exactly.  As I said in the other post, If you don't get Michigan on ABC then it will be on ESPN2.  If you DO get Michigan on ABC, then you'll have UCLA on ESPN2.

So nobody should freak out about another school also being listed on the Reverse Mirror (the random capitalization makes it more scary...)

I live in Morristown (about 30 miles from Knoxville) and haven't missed a Michigan game for a few years.  If it is not on ABC it will be on ESPN2.  Since the addition of the Big Ten Network, you will never miss one.

Thanks for all of the help off the ledge everyone! I thought that the game would be on but the 'OR' kept scaring the hell out of me. Much appreciated mgobloggers!
