Watching the tourney in Paris?
I currently live in Germany, but will be travelling to Paris on Saturday afternoon. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience there trying to watch sports, and if anyone would have any suggestions of where I might best be able to partake in some tourney watching/beer drinking there. Also, if there will be anyone else in Paris this weekend, I would not be opposed to an Mgoblog gathering should our beloved Wolverines make it to Saturday's matchups. Thanks in advance for any help.
Nice. I know where Kaiserslautern aka K-Town is, right by Ramstein AFB. I was in Mannheim for 2 years, which is about 45 minutes from there.
And is the Donnerkabob place still on Ramstein? Miss Donnerkabob soooo much...
When I was there I was Army(I have been out for about 5 years now). I just want to say that none of the doner places on base/post could ever be as good as the ones you can get at a local shop somehwere in town. It was an annual right of passage to get drunk downtown and find a place to eat a doner at 4am no matter where we were in Germany. Great stuff.
I have spent most of my adult life in Europe now, there are doner places elsewhere like here in Beligum, and they are pretty good, but nothing like the ones in Germany.
Miss the food, miss the beer, miss the scenery. I was never stationed there, just deployed a few times during my 20 yr Air Force career.
Cray!!
Here it is...not a place to watch the game, but a great place to get a great meal. I went to this place back in 1994 on a trip sponsored by the military and it was way cool. Family style serving. House wine is incredible. I looked for it online and doggone, it has a review on Yelp.

And on tripadvisor:
The South Dakota State and VCU games in the middle of the night in Cambodia. You'll be fine
Even the posts that gave rise to the clever ridicule were good. Everybody wins.
