WATCHA DRINKIN TONIGHT???: FYI, Michigan plays at Rutgers this Saturday night
I, for one, am going to the Michigan game this Saturday night; driving from goddamned Indiana tomorrow (yup, tickets purchased a LONG time ago...).
I have no clue what to expect. Win or lose, bleed maize and blue forever. My dad, brother, and I will be rooting like hell for the Wolverines. Though the season may be is lost, the record books don't give a shit. Fuck ND, Michigan needs the highest win % back!!! / MichiganArrogance

... I would have agreed with that statement, because Michigan football was synonymous with good football. When that changed, I realized I like watching good football. Maybe that makes me fair weather, but it's what I've noticed.

I don't blame you for not watching. I'll watch if I don't have anything better to do. I don't mind watching them suck as much at this point because at least I know what to expect. I caught about half of the Miami game, missed the Utah debacle, and caught last week. One thing that keeps me watching is so I know what is going on with the team, and I can compare that to what is going on here.

Under the guidelines laid out back in August, normally a random Thursday night drinking thread would go. Normally. I say this because, after I woke up at 1:30 AM yesterday morning with a beer still on the desk and an unfinished post still in the screen, it dawned on me that this has not been a normal week and I think perhaps we can leave this for the time being.

I keep my beer drinking habit full of Michigan or German made beers, tonight, Frankenmuth Hefeweizen, Keneenaw pick axe blonde, and Shorts nobile chaos. Both Shorts and Frankenmuth are making some top notch brews. If I keep up this pace, I should be sufficiently pickled by Sat. I guess I have to let the BAL drop enough to go to work tomorrow.

I love Speys. Haven't had the Aberlour sherry / twin cask yet.
An almost empty bottle of Balvenie Carribean Cask inhabits my counter at the moment. I loathe drinking the last drink from that bottle. That stuff is so good it literally makes me pee my pants.

Sorry I just saw this. I'm generally an Islay/Campbelltown guy, but I've been on a sweet kick.
Aberlour 12 tastes like chocolate pudding straight up. Very nice. Body is a little light since it's 40% and chill-filtered, but the oak influence is strong enough to balance it out a bit. Very enjoyable when the mood is right.
