Yes, cheap. Dave Brandon's $900k kind of blew up the AD payscale as just in 2010 Bill Martin was earning $380k.

I would imagine right away, hopefully Hackett will help him with the transition, I really don't want Hackett to leave I guess and hope he will be a consigliere for the athletic dept. on a continual basis.

Hackett said he fully intends to stay on for at least a month to help the transition.

Read a write up on Manuel.....his story plays like this is another great homecoming for a true Michigan Man (similar to Harbaugh). This could be a GREAT combination.

He brought us into the black, rebuilt a bunch of old facilities, and brought in Bielien. He didn't do the best job at getting a football coach, but he did land a very good college football coach, just a disaster in how it was handled.

Canham is really a hard act to replicate. Not being Don Canham is similar to not being Peppers. There is a lot of room to still be pretty good.
