Wallpaper Season

Submitted by TheOnlyOne on

It's about that time of year. I recently purchased the Adobe Creative Cloud and naturally decided to toy around during my spare time to make M wallpapers. I have no idea how to post images so you can check them out here:

More will follow soon enough. I'd also gladly take suggestions or requests, just keep in mind that only high-res photos make quality wallpapers (1200x1200 is generally the bare minimum) so not every player can have his own. Widescreen and standard resolutions of the first three wallpapers can be found in my Flickr account; I'll create mobile versions if enough people request them.

Enjoy!

Great stuff dude... Already my wallpaper... If you are taking suggestions, could we get one of Chesson plowing the three ND defenders in the singular block with the caption 'all-purpose' or Funchess hurdling the OSU defender would be a cool one

Pretty saweet. Would love to see one with Pipkens standing next to Henry standing shoulder to shoulder staring at the offensive huddle. Those two are going to form a great interior line this year.

Disagree. Art director here, and I think they were done well. Also, you're a douche.

As for my own critique, I'd only ask that the letters are a little less hidden, only need to hide small parts of them, and you still get that cool effect. And maybe add a little shadows on the letters near the parts where they're hidden.

Awesome Funchess wallpaper, but it's a tad blurry when I select it.

EDIT: Someone went on a down voting spree for no reason it seems.

I've got it on a 23" monitor at work and it looks very crisp. Make sure to select the correct version (widescreen or 19x12 SD) and clik "dowloand > original". The image will stretch out and look blurry if you've downloaded the widescreen version for an SD monitor or vice-versa.

The typography is a little much, but I love the effort. I'll be doing some when I get back from vacation, but I'm glad I'll have something to put up in the meantime. Keep trucking, buddy. You do crisp cutout work. How do you like Creative Cloud? I haven't upgraded CS since they went to the cloud.

It has been quite a while since I've taken to Photoshop, so I definitely expect the quality of the next few images to improve. I've always been a fan of in-your-face text; I was a sucker for Nike t-shirts in my teenage years because of this.

Creative Cloud is fantastic if you're looking to use multiple Adobe applications. You can also get it on the cheap if you're a college student. I thought the applications would run like crap because they're cloud-based, but you actually download the full application set and use it as if you own it. Not a bad deal if you ask me, but more dedicated users get pissy about the Cloud.
