Wallpaper Season - Vintage Logo Schedule
Final wallpaper until Notre Dame and probably the last "schedule"-themed wallpaper I will do until basketball season. I was working on honing some skills creating "embroidered" logos and decided to give the ol' vintage wolverine logo a go. I like how it turned out (it actually kind of looks embroidered!) and I think it may fit the taste of MGoBlog a bit more than my previous schedule wallpaper.
Enjoy!

This is now my Android background. I also agree that dates would be nice.

I'm not one to usually mess around with things on my phone, but your mobile version is too good to pass up. Cheers, sir.

What are you using to generate and manipulate the image? The shading and detail in the logo is great.

This was all done exclusively in Photoshop. I used work paths, along with a custom brush I created to make the somewhat threaded look (it still needs work), and then used layering with various embossing effects to create the feeling of depth. I then did some shadowing work to make it pop a bit. Honestly, the logo alone took two hours (I was experimenting - first time doing this effect), so I'm honestly not sure of the exact order of everything. It's very rewarding to get it to look the way you want. The actual vintage logo (the unfinished/un-stylized version) that I used as reference is obviously NOT my creation.

...into a wall paper?
Just without the sales junk, I just want the pictures. I believe it's Gardner, Funchess and Ryan.

Love that old school wolverine logo. Think it's gonna become my phone's new background.

I have the Iphone5. How do I copy it? I tried the normal way...nothing.
I'll click on it...it fills the screen...then I'll try to copy but the 'copy' box is blank. I guess I'm doing it wrong. Help would be nice. Thanks in advance.

You have to click on the thread link at the very top of the OP to go to the site in Safari. I've never been able to save pictures from the app. I have the HD app...not sure if the link shows up in the Elyria version.

Email the JPG to yourself, open the email on your phone, and save the photo, then select the photo as a wallpaper.

Jon, I tried to get it to work on my phone background but its a little too small width wise, would you mind widening it a little bit? I have an Evo 4g LTE. Our background thing is a little silly on my phone, screenshot for reference http://imgur.com/QFRsQSj

I'll see what I can do.
