having never seen the previously mention 2000 game, I had always thought Izzo was a class act who was much too good for Sparty, however after his numerous temper-tantrums with the refs yesterday, as well as his post game comments I now realize that he and MSU are perfect for each other. They can all get the fuck off the court!

So the run up the score compliment is beyond ridiculous. But being that was awhile ago, how did no one in the media ask him after he complained about talking all game that the "talk" this week was started by his guaranteed victory? I haven't seen one quote or question regarding that. I don't get why they're all so afraid of him. A talking to in his office? Man up.

I'm completely in favor of winning and losing with class. With that being said, those who think the aforementioned varying degrees of "trash-talking" is anything out of the ordinary are pretty naive. Anyone who has ever spent a day on an athletic team or an hour in a locker room, or an afternoon spent playing intramural sports, knows that "trash-talking" is a part of competition. To think that Lucas and the rest of the Spartans were innocent in this regard is equally ignorant.

Take a look at that press conference of Izzo--not the most likeable individual in defeat. It's easy to come off classy when your program is on top, but true colors show in defeat. Also, gotta love Mark Hollis' original tweet as well. Classy.

Go Blue! The ride isn't over yet...

Let's get this rivalry going?  Where has it been going?  Izzo's a great coach, but he guarunteed a victory yesterday and we saw how that motivated them....

The best part of his postgame is when he throws Summers under the bus.  Surprised he didn't just say that guy sucks and it's his fault.  Stay classy East Lansing.

He knows his stuff as well as anybody out there, and it seemed like he tried to run a cleaner program than Spartan Football, at least. He spoke well and seemed honest and forthright.

Spartanism infects all that dare call East Lansing home.

Izzo has always been like this.  Some of our fans just didn't notice because we weren't beating him very often.  Anytime he loses to Wisconsin, he generally makes a bunch of petty gripes afterward.

The million-dollar question: does working at MSU change a man, or are they just a magnet for these kinds of people?
