Arguably the biggest regular season win in program history some are calling it.

#8 Michigan picked a monster upset victory today over #2 North Carolina.

Wolverines went up 1-0 via a win by Mira Ruder-Hook and Brienne Minor upsetting UNC's team of Hayley Carter and Kate Vialle, who are the #1 doubles team in the nation.

Alex Najarian put Michigan up 2-0 with a win at #5 (6-3, 6-4).

Sara Remynse won at #6 (6-4, 6-4) and then Kate Fahey clinched the victory for Michigan with a win at #3 (6-4, 6-4).

Michigan added one more point with a singles win by Mira Ruder-Hook (2-6, 6-4, 6-0) to upset the #2 ranked Tar Heels, 5-2, a year after then-#1 UNC beat Michigan by the same result.

Michigan is now 6-2, and will hit the road to face #13 Baylor and #24 Texas next weekend.

BIG win for the maize and blue! This seems to be one of the better teams both in singles and doubles that Coach Bernstein has had. Three nationally ranked singles players and 1 nationally ranked doubles team, with only one senior on the roster bodes well for not only this year but also continued Big Ten dominance! Go Blue!

And that will likely last for a year as Michigan has signed arguably the top recruit in its history in Kysre Gondrezick.

2017-18 is gonna be the year. You'll have senior Flaherty, this fab four freshman class will be juniors and the incoming star in Kysre Gondrezick will be a sophomore.
