W Soccer upsets #12 Notre Dame, 2-0!!
WHAT A WIN!
Michigan dominated the second half. Reilly Martin basically powered Michigan to this win offensively, but Jada Dayne was great on defense. She cleared everything that came her way.
Martin's free kick was scored by Abby Kastroll, and then just minutes later another one of her free kicks (no stutter step this time) was scored by former CLUB soccer player Katie Foug.
It was 2-0 Michigan in the 2nd half before ND even got a shot off in the 2nd half.
Michigan is now 2-0-1 and will head to Marquette for a 2pm game on Sunday! That game will be streamed live.

We kicked their ass in that second half. Flat out. We set the tone from the start of the game. ND got a little bit back at the end of the 1st, but looked tired in the 2nd.

Jada Dayne, the freshman defender had looked as good as advertised. She's the daughter of Heisman winner Ron Dayne. Had quite an impact so far with clears.

Oh, so that's why I saw a girl in a ND uniform at Holiday Inn today. There was a big bus outside, so they must have just been getting ready to head to the game.

Seeing Denard and Roy at MBB games was the epitome of living the college life and supporting your school/fellow athletes. It's awesome that football players showed for the women. Go Blue!

Great W over a perennially strong program! Glad to hear Dayne & Martin put in good performances. I saw them both in the exhibition against UVA & thought they both played very well - Martin frequently looked like the best player on the field for either team. Lots of contributions from young players, too, which bodes well for the team getting stronger as the year goes on & in the years to come!

That's only our 4th win over ND. But they've never even scored a goal in U-M Soccer Stadium, let alone beat us there.
We're 41-4-5 there since 2012. Amazing.
