After a 2-2 double overtime thriller against Pitt in the season opener Friday, Michigan would turn around and face Marshall two days later.

Marshall had a good record last year, but played literally no P5 schools in the regular season. They lost at Purdue in a close 2-1 game on Friday, though.

Michigan would start the game off with goals just a minute apart from the other.

Senior captain Ani Sarkisian put Michigan up 1-0 in the 9th minute, and then Nicky Waldeck scored in the 10th to make it 2-0 Wolverines.

Freshman Brooke DeSantis scored her first career goal in the 27th, assist from Sarkisian to make it 3-0 which would be the score at half.

Marshall would get one back in the 56th minute to cut the lead to two, but Reilly Martin's corner went off the head of Waldeck into the goal in the 80th to make it 4-1 Michigan, which would be the final score.

Michigan is now 1-0-1 and will face #13 Notre Dame on Thursday. The game will begin at 7:30pm and will be on BTN.
