"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."
Vote for Kovacs to win walk-on player of the year award
Justice must be done here!
At least 2 of these already unless this is a new award.
I can't believe this, but my middle-aged eyes can't find the link to click.
A SR , I wonder how many of these guys started as FR. I believe Kovacs did. Jordan gets the vote.
Death to web designers that hide links.
Easy vote for Jordan. He started as a freshman and made meaningful contributions in the midst of a giant tire fire. McGloin did not succeed until removed from a tire fire.
I voted. McGloin is up big right now.
I just voted. We need Kovacs to have the most votes. Fan voting is 5%!
The Michigan Difference can do it!
Yeah no disrespect to Kovacs, but it looks like McGloin has got this. Still, I voted for Kovacs.
"*The Fan Vote counts as 5% during each round of voting and it is combined with the results from the Selection Committee. Fans can cast their vote for the nation’s most outstanding player who began his career as a Walk-on once per day. Fan Vote totals are cleared after each round."
Not sure what constitutes "each round" but 5% of one round (assuming there are multiple rounds) may not be the dagger it appears to be. Kovacs should win this thing hands down.
I think it means early rounds, semis, and finals. This is currently finals I believe, so the last round, so VOTE!
and Kovacs was @ 2% keep it boys in BLUE....Beat OHIO
We have more people then that on MGoBlog alone. If everyone on here votes, Kovacs should get there no problem. Ditto if we can get the rivals community on board as well.
A quick survey of the user listings show 13,424 users with accounts (30 per page x 447 full pages +14 on the last one). Obviously, many of them are users who either post infrequently or are on some level of Bolivian, but yeah, this board could definitely be a force in voting.
That being said, I managed to vote before the site crashed.
Voted! Now at 3%---It's doubtful we will catch McGloin at this point, but lets at least have a respectable showing! Go Blue. beat ohio
Currently semi finals.
Voting ends on the 26th.
Jordan still 6th (!?!). Down to McGloin by just under 3400 votes, but we get more people on each live blog than that!
GO BLUE, BEAT OHIO
Voted! I can't beleive that we'll let a Penn State or Nebraska player to come ahead of Kovaks!
Looks like the page is down... I was hoping to try to write something in python to "help" the numbers a bit. I wonder if other bots have beat us to it.
I assume just a glitch on their end & I'll have to retry... Go Blue!
He's up to 5%, still behind Abbrederis...
must get the michigan alumni base mobilised.
reading the descriptions of the finalists, there are only a handful that come close to jordan. good thing the fan vote is only 5%.
I voted for Kovaks but I honestly don't think he's the best player on that list and I don't think it's that close.
True, although I think he's better than a couple of the guys who have more votes than him...
I voted for Kovacs. Go Blue. Beat ohio
but still in 6th place, even with my valuable vote
Kovacs is up to 33% (McGloin is at 34%)
