VOTE FOR KOVACS
He's up for the Rudy award. It would be awesome on multiple levels if he was able to win this:

Hope he wins and our safety (whoever it is) don't need to have 70+ tackles over the course of next season because our D-line dominates and the LBs improve...
The more comments I read from you the more I realize how big of a douchebag you are. I want the best players on the team to play and if that's Jordan Kovacz (as it was this year) then I want him to play.
PERIOD.
"A house divided against itself cannot stand"
ok hate I just don't care. Oh and if Jordan Kovacz starts next year our secondary will suck dick again. I like him to, good story. Guess what though STORIES DON'T WIN FUCKING GAMES, safties not getting fucking burnt in coverage do. Sorry to be blunt, but jordan kovacz should never see the field unless it is in some sort of stacked run defense. Yell at me tell me I am a asshole and according to marlon I am Illiterate. I don't care you get mad because people tell it like it is.

generally has very little to do with dropping f-bombs and using all caps. You stated your opinion, nothing more.
IMO, Kovacz played his guts out last year, but, like a lot of players, was caught out of position and gave up a few big plays. He's played one year. How can you know how good he'll be with more experience? I expect most of our players will get better every year and I firmly believe this staff will start the best players at each position.
I'm not sure why you had to detract from the original story just to make a personal attack on the kid. All you did was draw attention to yourself as a D-nozzle.
"Do not disturb my circles."
I think you misinterpreted what he was saying. Generally speaking, you do not want your safeties to have that many tackles because in a traditional defense, they're the last line of defense. Ideally, your LB's would lead your team in tackles, and/or your D-line plus your LB's (your "front 7") would take care of the other teams to an extent that your safeties arent as involved in run support.
I can't speak to the guy's other comments, but I think you might've misinterpreted what he was saying here.
EDIT: I was wrong; Bouje, you are right- I thought you were responding to Huntington Wolverine and not Smitty D. Wow, are you right. My bad.
generally the guy who starts calling other posters "douchebags" without provocation is, in fact, the douchebag.
I must be missing something, given the vitriol directed at this comment. Am I to understand that you all want Kovacs to be our best safety next year? You wouldn't prefer that someone emerge who is better than a walk-on who got burnt numerous times? You don't hope that our secondary becomes strong and deep enough that we don't have to rely on Kovacs?
Seriously, what am I missing?
i love the kovacs story and also want the best players on the team to play. however if kovacs is the best we have as a coverage safety we are in trouble, i actually like him as a box safety because he knows how to tackle but whenever he was put into coverage it was a big play waiting to happen.
Sorry guys but had to go with Blair White without a doubt

Domer voting for a Spartan over a Wolverine on a Michigan football blog...
...in order to do that, you had to click on the link above and then navigate the site in order to see who *else* was nominated. If you then felt you should vote for the most deserving, then why did you pick White? If you're truly going to vote for the winner of a Rudy, then you also should have read through every single bio and chosen the athlete who has had the most challenges to overcome. Did you do that?
If not, this is a serious troll violation, imo.
But you also voted for Blair White over a member of your own team. Also, perhaps you are not as familiar with the inspiring tale of Rudy. (kidding. something tells me you can recite the whole movie like every other domer I know).
FWIW, I didn't think the award was for "best player who walked on." I thought it was more along the lines of "most inspiring walk-on story that may or may not be made into a future motion picture starring The Guy from 90's Fox sitcom 'Roc', Jon Favreau, and Sean Astin." If Blair White is then your choice, so be it. I chose Kovacs because of what he's overcome. . . and the fact that he happens to play for my team.
voted a little while ago through a different link actually.....I guess this means another trip in front of the troll board, lol

I don't really care that you voted for someone else... your choice. But to be an Irish fan, voting for a Spartan then coming on here and telling us about it ... A little heat is to be expected, don't ya think?
At the time I thought it would be more of a discussion of the award and how these players fought to become starters on their perspective teams. Really a great award to give out. The thread hasn't gone that direction though.
The heat is actually kind of nice,:) it just started snowing again and there is like 8 inches on the ground already.

and hope he does not see the field next year.
