We should add this to the ESPN traditions update everyday to make sure our guy wins. I've always liked Kovacs a lot. In my mind he is the true embodiment of college athletics and what being a student-athlete is all about.
Was a walk on, correct? Either way, I've always liked him too, reminds me a little bit of Stu Schweigert of the 2003 Boilermakers. I look for Kovacs to be a vocal leader of the defense in the next two years, hopefully he keeps getting better.
I love Kovacs. He's been the focal point of more internet/radio criticism than anybody since junior year John Navarre. Like Navarre, he's never publicly done anything but remain classy and continued his hard work. Also, like Navarre, he's going to leave Michigan as a Big Ten Champion.*

If Kovacs wins this poll for best strong safety in the country, then Hoke will be forced to give him a redshirt senior season. Then, we won't have room for 5 star recruits!!!!1!
