Denard's plays were more spectacular against a better opponent.  He started very slowly, but his stats were largely accumulated in the second half of the game when the pressure was on.

I love me some Denard, but those big plays were not the product of great passes downfield, they were jump balls that the receivers won (except for the one pick).  He also completely missed a few open receivers.  I know it is sacriledgious to say on here, but Denard didn't have his best game yesterday, despite the career high in passing yards.  That being said, I'm still voting for him...

How long before people realize Denard is simply putting the ball where the receiver has the best chance to catch it?

This reminds me of a story about Ben Hogan.  He was convinced that it was impossible to consistently hit the ball straight.   On the driving range at the Canadian Open, a reporter took him over to watch future Natural Golf founder Mo Norman, and Norman rifled straight shots again and again, within a few feet of each other.  Hogan patted him on the back and said, "Keep hitting those mistakes, kid."

Denard can throw two more seasons' worth of "mistakes" and "underthrows" and I will be perfectly happy.

He had 3 quarters of the worst football i have seen since Threet in 08 and then the best 4th quarter i have ever seen. Honestly i felt the 4th quarter was more the O line and some great plays by the receivers then anything spectacular Denard did.

If this team puts 4 quarters together with the offense playing like they did in the 4th and the defense playing like they did in the 3rd god help the big ten.
