Listed as in first place although 44-44 as of 7:25 PM; May work in Chadtough favor that Purdue voters are night voters considering voting ends Sunday afternoon

Aside from the obvious UofM connections (that, in and of itself would be reason enough to vote), DIPG SSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUcccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkssssssssssssssssss.

I see a lot of scary diagnosis treating kids with cancer, but most of the time, when I'm breaking the news, I can soften the blow a bit.  "Your child has cancer, and it's going to be a long road, but I think we can cure this", that sort of thing.  Not with DIPG though.  Seeing that tumor on an MRI makes my stomach sink.  I know there is nothing that I'm going to be able to do and also what their near future holds.  There's a colloquialism in the field that if a patient is reported to have survided DIPG, they were probably misdiagnosed (it is that bad).  Just my $0.02 on the subject, but this is an especially important cause amidst a sea of important causes.

Go Blue. #Chadtough

Appreciate the sentiment, the good days are really, really good but the bad days are really, really, really bad.  It's getting better overall, but slowly.  50 years ago, essentially every pediatric cancer had outcomes like DIPG (where the doc can only say, "I'm sorry") and now there are a handful that are cured >90% of the time, so we've got that going for us, which is nice.
