Vlad Emilien--how injured is he, really?
On my way to class I passed by vlad and saw him on crutches wearing a cast on his leg. I'm no doctor but having been told that his injury is not that serious and then seeing this I'm a little let down to think he'll be out for at least a little while. I was really hoping he could solidify himself as a contributor this spring.
EDIT: There's been some confusion over my choice of words when I said "wearing a cast". He was in some sort of plastic brace/cast and using crutches to get around.
There is no reason to risk anything in the Spring, which is most likely why you hear its not that serious and then see him in a boot.
Since when does a boot = cast?
Speaking from personal experience, the cast goes on first, then you get the boot, then you can walk with the boot, then you can walk with some mild support, and finally you're healed.
Ahh yes thank you for correcting me. I have read other sources describe it as a walking boot whereas the OP said cast. Sorry for confusing anyone.

Yes, you are misreading this. It is already known that Stokes is injured, so hopefully the OP saw him and thought he saw Vlad. Unfortunately, it seems this is not the case.

Well, seeing that my post wasn't pointing out the grammatical error, but that he thought South Quad was a field and not a building, I'm not too worried. But hey, by all means, continue to be needlessly condescending.
A preposition isn't something you should end a sentence with, buddy.
Although really, a preposition should always be followed by its object. That way you won't end a phrase with a preposition either, which is another no-no.
For the record i'd love it if mgoblog assembled a student correspondent team. Of course, we could cut costs by not deploying any mgomembers on North Campus (what's the point?) and instead focus solely on the central and south campuses in addition to Skeeps. 24/7 LIVE MGOBLOG COVERAGE. what, no?
I believe 96.4 percent of Michigan Marching Band members are engineers or urban planning students, so a north campus correspondent would be all but essential.

i noticed it was him but didn't really want to bother him. then he dropped his keys on the ground and was struggling to bend over to pick them up due to his cast. i offered to help, he said he was all good, i took it as he didn't really feel like talking.

We do have nearly 27 other safety's now, so that is a plus, hopefully VLAD heals soon.
Unfortunately, 23 of those are incoming Freshmen who aren't on campus yet. :(
I hope this isn't a trend with him. We need all the depth we can get. Here's to a quick recovery.
FWIW, I talked to someone who is organizing a fashion show Vlad was supposed to appear in (a lot of the football players do), and her wording was that "he blew out his knee" but I didn't post it here because I'm not sure how reliable that is or what that even means, but this sighting seems to at least confirm that things are a little more serious than Rivals seems to be indicating.
Football is going to ruin his runway swagger!
