Visualizing Victory

Submitted by Michiganguy19 on

I am sure that every Michigan fan has had at least one vision of what a Victory today might look like. Let's have a positive thread on this board. No need for haters to tell us how we are going to go down in defeat, just want to hear your visions of how Michigan grabs the victory!

Mine vision of the game sees it close in the Third QTR after Michigan initially took an early lead and then allowed OSU to tie it up before the half. Denard has a long run and a long pass play in the Third QTR, and OSU seems rattled going into the 4th down 10pts. They grab a FG with about 10min to play before Michigan has a sustained TD drive on the ground w/ a few short passes. Up 14 with 5min to play. OSU drives for a TD but the clock is on M's side and they win in 34-27. Go Blue!

"I've discovered that numerous peak performers use the skill of mental rehearsal of visualization. They mentally run through important events before they happen."

Quotes About Visualization
"Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blue print, and begin to build."
- Robert Collier

"When confronted with a situation that appears fragmented or impossible, step back, close your eyes, and envision perfection where you saw brokenness. Go to the inner place where there is no problem, and abide in the consciousness of well-being."
- Alan Cohen

If this goes down the way we all want it to. Then I see it being a shootout into the 4th qtr and TP turns the ball over we shove it down their throats and time runs out!!! Lets say it will be kind of like the 06' game but we end up on top.

42-39 Blue!

My vision involves me running out onto the field, grabbing the M flag and sticking it in the 50 yard line.  Then running like hell from law enforcement officers.

Realistically though: We keep it close and coming into the fourth with 4 minutes left we're trailing by a FG.  On 4th and 1, despite my screams at the TV to go for it, we line up for a 30 yard FG.  We miss, tOSU ball.  Pryor comes and tosses an INT.  Denard executes a last ditch drive and we get a TD to win.

In every loss this year, it seems like if we could just get the ball back, like twice, we could probably come back. It almost happened against Iowa. Take away the two picks in the endzone against Sparty, and it would have been a lot closer. If the defense could have gotten the ball back a few times late in the game and Penn State, we could have come back. In order for us to win today, our defense has to make those crucial stops, that they couldn't against other teams. The offense must be flawless, Lace needs to be on fire, and we need a couple breaks. God I hope we win.

Terrelle Pryor is unable to play because he forgot to breathe for 30 before the game.  Jim Tressel goes into a panic and admits that he is just a gay accountant who has been LUCKY up to this point.

The only way I can see victory is to bring the heat on TP and force him into making mental mistakes. The laid back 3-3-5 hasn't and won't cut it today. Bring it GERG!!!

(Oh yeah...and Denard rushes and passes for 200+.)

OSU wins the toss and defers.  We go right down the field and score with precision short passes and solid runs.  They move the ball but miss a filed goal and we score again with a long run by Denard to go up 14-0.  From there it goes back and forth with mistakes by Pryor giving us a couple of stops.  OSU scores on a long drive early in the fourth quarter to take the lead by four and their fans are tasting red meat.  Fitz Toussaint takes the kickoff and flies through a seam into the open field.... angles to the sideline,  jump-cuts around the last man and turns on the jets for six!  Pryor throws a pick on the next series and on first down Denard does that QB Iso-OOPS- Seam Pass  to T-Rob for a 44 yard TD (RPS+9!).  They score with less than a minute left to climb within 3 but Obi recovers the onside kick.... ballgame.

GERG throws caution to the wind and plays 4 down lineman the first half with man coverage, and blitzes...TP gets rattled and the OSU offense struggles

And so does Michigan's...Denard overcomes 2 interceptions in the first half to pull even with OSU at the half, 7 to 7.

Third quarter OSU burns our D with a long touchdown pass, and loosens our D...

The third quarter shoot-out begins, with Michigan converting on 3 fourth downs to take the lead 24 - 21 on a short Brendan Gibbons field goal.

4th quarter Michigan D gets one more stop...offense opens up with Tate at quarterback, Denard out wide...who takes a reverse for a 75 yard touchdown! Michigan 31 - 21!

OSU responds with a long, grinding drive to get back within 3 with 5 minutes left, 31 - 28;

Tate comes in again, with Denard and Shaw at Tailback, and Michigan goes to a run option offense down to the OSU 15, where the drive stalls...and Gibbons kicks another field goal to put Michigan up by 6 with 2 minutes to go..

Gibbons nails a 'sunshine kick' high in the air which bounces of an unsuspecting OSU coverage up-man and Michigan recovers!!

Michigan wins 34 - 28! GO BLUE!!!

ACL tear for Justin Boren in the 1st qtr limits OSU's ground game and we start to finally bring the heat on D, force 3 TO's and walk out of Columbus with a 49-28 win.  Denard goes nuts and our special teams comes together for the last reg. season game of the year at the right time.

Visualize yourself extremely enjoying watching the game and then being very elated after it is over.  Visualize that Michigan has just won the game and how you're going to feel when it happens.
