A Vintage Michigan Win

What am I, a resident of the WORST STATE EVER, hoping for?

A vintage MICHIGAN win.

The perfect storm has been set for a revival of the amazing caps to the seasons of the 90s; a decent Michigan team meets an undefeated ohio team & ruins the hopes of the scarlet & gray...

underrated Michigan stars (see Biakabutuka) face off against Heisman candidates & outshine the latter...

Tim Biakabutuka

ecstatic fans loyal tothe "best coach on the planet" begin to call for his resignation because of one perennial loss...

& "They do the talkin', we do the walkin!"

It would be so sweet.

What could make this one of the sweetest wins against ohio is the fact that THIS is their bowl game; if they lose this game, there will be no redeeming possibilities for them in January.

Plus, this;

Also,A Moment of Silence Must Be Observed.

Where were you when you heard that you would never ever have another Twinkie, Orange Cupcake, Funny Bone, or Drake's Coffee Cake?

I don't like the idea of this brave new world that we will live in, but I can only hope that one day the brand will be revived.

Why this part is not OT; This bankruptcy can somewhat be attributed to Denard Robinson; he cut junk food out of his diet back in the summer; http://www.annarbor.com/sports/um-football/denard-robinson-has-cut-out-t...

Man, he must have eaten alot of Twinkies before...

In closing, Go Blue, help me forget the news of one of the worst crimes against snack foods since trans fats were outlawed... But more importantly, Beat ohio!

He was doing the halftime report for SC-UCLA and basically said the Nebraska game/s the rest of the way don't matter in the conference standings because Michigan isn't beating OSU.

I would have karate kicked my TV if only I knew karate and wasn't thrown off balance by all this delicious Chardonnay.

Between him and Joey Harrington, every week on FOX feels like a douche-off officiated by that bird-nosed witch Erin Andrews.  Some times she wears giant glasses to make it even more ridiculous.

It is spelled HOKEAMANIA.  Our coach is an ass-kicking American citizen, not one of the Beatles, for Christ's sake!

I got home in time to watch the ESPN-on-ABC halftime report and that guy who was both a QB and a Bachelor started the Michigan-Iowa report by saying that Denard Robinson didn't play because of an injury.  Then they showed highlights.  Obviously none of them included Denard Robinson, because everyone knows he didn't play.

Didn't ESPN-on-or-off-ABC carry the game?  Was nobody on their staff watching?

Doesn't really feel like there is a lot that separates these two teams.  Ohio has defintely had more/better breaks, and has stayed healthier.  That seems to be about it.  I think Wiscy showed some ways that you can contain Braxton.  And, I think we showed enough of the double-headed QB to minimize Urban's sleep this week.  As always, this game will be about who executes.

Not sure about previous filings, but most recently, Interstate Bakeries (which at the time made Hostess  products) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in  2004, and stayed in this state for the better portion of five years. They emerged as a private firm called "Hostess Brands", but the filing that is making the news now is one that they made back in January, mainly due to carrying $860 million in debt from loans and pension obligations.

As to the OP's second question about where I was when I heard about the potential liquidation of Hostess (which still would have to be approved by a judge), I was sitting on my sofa on Friday watching the morning news, and oddly enough, about to unwrap a Twinkie. Sentiment forced me to put it aside after that story.
