Red is Blue

Is it a violation of rules for a school to talk to a player when he is enrolled (or under scholarship, not sure which) at a different school.  Assuming this didn't happen, given the quick turn around, it seems like maybe there was some delay in getting this news out.   Either that, or he told MI, immediately called Pitt and they immediately accepted him.

were just a kinder gentler "family" values reason...

But seriously, good luck to the kid. Hope he finds what is best for him.  Transfers happen.

Kid gave more to UM than a certain five star from Massilon.

Who would have figured the family he was talking about were Tony Gibson, Cal Magee and Tony Dews?

Obviously Pitt's the nearest D-I school to Youngstown, so really he's lucky his old position coach and other familiar faces were close to home.

I wish them all success.

Glad he can continue to chase his D-1 dreams rather than slum it at Youngstown State, but it will be a real bummer to watch him turn into "typical Iowa/Wisconsin gritty, heady safety" as a senior in another team's uni.

How unfortunate that Cowhoke™ has created an environment that is antagonistic towards players who value their family.  Even if Cowhoke™ somehow manages to create a winning program at M it will feel soulless.
