Vids from UM Showcase (last weekend)
WARNING: there is some language in the background at points in the videos.
James Farrow
Shawn Conway
DeAnthony Arnett
The defenders in the vids are supposedly:
James Farrow - Black and white shorts, Navy shirt
Ken Mullen - Black shorts, Red shirt
Delonte Hallowell - Black shorts, Navy shirt
Eilar Hardy - Black shorts, white shirt
Wow, if that really is Conway, man that guys got some great hands. Damn. Looks like he's got pretty good speed too.
I liked the way he used his body to catch that sideline pass.
the second one is Conway
...Conway. Great hands. Decent speed.
Plus, his father Tim was great on the Carol Burnett show.
His dad is Dorf??
Private eyes. That movie may be a little old for much of the mgobloggers, but if you haven't seen it check it out. Tim Conway and Don Knotts at their absolute finest.
Arnett looks Awesome. Really hope we can land this kid. We'll win this fall, that should help.
Almost reminds me of Mario Manningham.
Can you imagine having both guys. Conway looks like the big, physical outside receiver with Arnett being a shifty, burner type. I don't think anyone is going to complain too much about the Conway signing after that little bit of film.
Who was the cornerback in the orange/red shirt and dreadlocks. He was the only one to really stay with Conway but he still made the catches.
Ken Mullen, he impressed me as well. He is from Bishop Duers in ft. wayne, I believe he has only received MAC offers so far?
Call me greedy, but I want both the WRs.
Arnett and Conway...both looked lethal.
Man, Arnett completely owned Hardy (4 star on Scout) and Hollowell (Rivals 250 watchlist). Looks like Arnett is living up to his hype.
He is so fast off the line and in/out of his breaks. He just worked those corners.
Conway looked pretty good, great hands, just needs to work on his route running. That delay in the out is gonna lead to pick 6s
Arnett looks lightning fast, but DAMN Conway has some hands. Of the DBs i thought Ken Mullen looked good out there. He seemed like the only one that could keep with Arnett.
however, don't take too much from these videos as the drills they're running completely favor the wide receiver. all the corners seemed to get owned but in a game there are 10 other guys on the field and the qb won't have all day to make the pass. not to hate, but arnett's triple move and all that stopping in and out of his breaks looks great but won't be effective/utilized in a game. he does look very, very quick off the line though.
Twitty?
Conway looked athletic but definitely needs to work on those comeback routes.
Other than Hollowell's play on Arnett where he depantsed him, he could keep anyone in front of him. JF and Ken Mullen looked good though. Arnett's double moves gave him crazy separation.
As far as QBs in 2011 this is what I saw at the Michigan Showcase. I watched the QBs (about 35-40 QBs there) and this is who stood out:
The top 4 QBs there (in no order) were definitely Alex Niznak of Ithaca, Josh Harris from Country Day, Mike Sullivan from Our Lady of the Lakes, and Ryan Morley of Grand Blanc.
-Niznak is a big kid who throws a pretty good ball. Footwork needs to improve though. I can see him landing at a Grand Valley, or SVSU. Possibly a FCS team. He has the size, but needs to improve his mechanics if he wants to be a d1 player.
-Harris stands around 6ft tall and probably about 180-185lbs. He possess a strong arm, but is not always the most accurate. Overall good QB though.
-Mike Sullivan had some real nice throws including his first throw of the day, a 45yard bomb in the air perfectly in stride. He proved to have a stronger arm than people thought of him and was very accurate throughout the day.
-Ryan Morley is about the same size as Sullivan and the two are similar. Morley throws a nice ball and is accurate. He showed good footwork and the ability to make any throw on the field. Expect him to have another successful season at GB.
this is at least the 3rd time you've posted the exact same thing. Please stop.
lol damn chill out bro...just sayin wat i saw
what happened to these videos? i don't remember there being anything resembling a copyright infringement in them. bummer...
Yeah, I got here too late for the videos too. Anyone know where else I can see them? At least the Conway vid?
