Fitz for......

In all seriousness....he looks pretty awesome in practice and given what we know he is capable of doing based on last season, the sky is the limit for FT. He can make cuts at the drop of a hat, and once he breaks through he is off to the races. Fast, shifty, with a good sense of lanes.....assuming Fitz stays healthy the whole season (please God) he will have a monster year and a very good shot at the pros.

So much that he's been given the Martin, RVB, Kovacs...we trust that you're the starter now stand on the sideline and watch so you don't get hurt award.

It sounds like Denard, Fitz, Lewan, Roh, and Kovacs have cemented their jobs. I think Omameh could be on his way, and hopefully that means a lot more time for Chris Bryant at RG. Demens may be, espcially to get Bolden more PT.

CB seems to be all wishy washy - it sounds to me like Floyd and Countess are your starters, Avery has cemented the #1 spot at nickel...and Talbott is the first sub at the outside CB (or 4th CB in dime), Raymon Taylor is the #2.

Kovacs is obviously the man at SS. I think the coaches wish Gordon was getting more of a push at FS.

I did not meantion the WDE, WLB, and SLB spots because I think it's been finalized that they have the guys they want there and there is going to be depth and 1st team level competition all year.

One competition I would like to know more about...punter.

Getting excited about ALA. if the dline can hold up fairly well against their oline then I think it will be a close game, with our new bubble screen offense of course.

The young man has been focused, determined and has worked very hard and it shows.

It's going to be a blast watching him tote the rock this year.

I love the way this guy runs. He is very decisive and powerful with his cuts. He knows when to be patient and when to hit the whole with burst. Fitz=Beast. Plain and simple.

I agree with you.  I see Fitz as a slightly smaller, more shifty, not quite as powerful version of former Broncos RB Terrell Davis.

Davis was only 5-11 which is an inch taller than what Fitz is listed as...and was a bit thicker, though that has a lot to do with how we saw him in the NFL, I dont remember much of Davis at Georgia.   However the comparison I see is that they both have the vision and burst to make that decisive first cut, and then make moves downfield from there.

Fitz should have a breakout season this year.

There are a few runs where the defense makes good contact and then let him run by. I see him get tackled on a few plays so I don't understand why on others they make contact but don't try and tackle

I'm seeing out of the backs in these vids so far. I think Rawls is especially looking better, and he seems to be a Mike Hart kind of runner to me. Fitz will get some massive stats this year, I'm just not sure about how he'll fare in the first game. Alabama will load the box and try to force Denard to throw us into a win. If we can keep that game close, I love our chances to pull off a gigantic upset. On the other hand, if Fitz can put 100+ yards on Alabama's D, he will soon become a frontrunner for the Heisman. One week until I take the five hour drive to see the only free game of the year! GO BLUE!!!
