As an 8 year old Michigan fan I thought that Brady was the greatest QB ever. Wanted the Lions to draft him 20th overall but didnt think he would drop that far. When the Lions passed on him not once but 5 times I was devastated. But hey, that Stockar McDougle pick worked out pretty well.

I was the least surprised person in the world when Brady led that first game winning Super Bowl drive. The most gutsy, clutch QB to ever don the winged helmet. He may not have won Super Bowls, glory, and supermodels, but he may have inspired some of the laziest sad sack Lions to actually try. That is, before the offensive line turned him into a cripple. Brady was my all time favorite Michigan QB by the the time he left the program and I think he was destined for greatness whether his career intertwined with Belichek or not.

Entirely possible.  But I have no doubt that being picked so late added a ton of motiviation to show everybody they were wrong to pass him up.  And after winning one Super Bowl, when others might get a little complacent, he's still got this big chip on his shoulder to keep working hard and win more.

This is a good video, and it should be good to watch. I can't wait until they make a documentary after his career, hopefully with a couple more Super Bowl rings haha.
