I remember the thread where Denard was just holding the shirt, and I wasn't sure about the stripes. Seeing everyone suited up though, I actually rather like them.

I really like these new away jerseys.

You can see the joy and excitment on the players faces to be at the Sugar Bowl.  I think that will translate to them coming out playing hard for 60 min.

Not bad - numbers are way too thin but I think that's part of the vintage feel. I'll take them. I just hope we have 2 jerseys next year that everyone can wear - either TechFIT or not...

Two-color blue-on-maize and then single color blue on the stripes and block M... They kinda clash a little bit.  I think I'd prefer single color numbers, perhaps.

Still better than the adidas template, though.

I think the jerseys actually look pretty good. I'm not nearly as opposed to alternate away jerseys as I am the home ones. The away jerseys seem to have been tinkered with many, many times in the past.

The numbers are too thin. And I'm not crazy about the maize trim around them, particularly with no maize anywhere else on the shirt.

Also, there is too much going on in the clavicle areas. The block M might be OK if not for the giant Sugar Bowl patch, and vice versa.

The shoulder stripes aren't killing me though, and I thought they would.

My thoughts exactly.  The Sugar Bowl patch makes it take on a European soccer team feel.  I guess putting the bowl logo on the shoulder isn't visible enough for TV?

Incidentally, how about Wisconsin's helmets -- with a rose pattern embedded in the W -- yesterday?  Those were great, especially in contrast to the mirrors-and-vommit motif their opponent seemed to be sporting.

I like them-- the only problem I have is that the blue for the numbers and the blue for the stripes don't appear to be the same color, but perhaps that is just because the numbers are outlined?

...you'd think I would like the attempted linkage to the past. However, I don't care for them. I know it's suddenly chic for teams to try look uber different and cool, but somehow this "back to the future" Michigan motif just doesn't work for me.

Nonetheless, if they win, more power to 'em.

Go Blue.

I like the stripes, and have from the beginning, but the block M, Addias logo and BCS logo all add up to too much on the front. The block M could probably be left off (no mistaking these are Michigan players once they have their winged helmets on) and if there has to be branding, stick it on the back, right under the collar. And shrinking the BCS logo would help, too.

But other than too many pieces of flair, I like.

I am less than 10 hours from seeing them in person and i cannot wait.

Go Blue!

Btw....Virginia Tech fans are very nice and easy to talk/hang out with.

I really like them, there a nice new style. I wonder what type of uniforms VT is going to come out in, maybe some sort of Nike Pro Combat monster like creation. Only thing I would change about our uniform is make the facemask grey, I think those would just add a cool factor, but thats my opinion

The Sugar Bowl logo is much too big, the Adidas logo is distracting, the type used for the numerals is far too thin, and the stripes are clumsily handled.

Other than that, they're fine.

I like them.  Looking back I recall the stripes on the sleeves of the away jerseys.  Aside from some of the finer details such as the numbers they do look much better on the players.  I can only hope that the white pants are NEVER EVER worn again however.  I have spoken with a few friends this week and, according to principle, I understand the reticence to accept this alternative jersey thing.  In many ways I completely agree.  Yet, it appears to be a vogue marketing and recruiting tool and hey, at least the three different looks we've sported haven't made us look like complete clowns (uh MSU, MD, OR)

Road uniforms are never going to look as good as the home navy.  That is about as cool as a white jersey is going to get.

Like a few others have said above, I don't see a need for the shoulder stripes, the numbers are too thin, and the sugar bowl patch is huge. Definitely better than the bumblebee ones, but I still prefer my "tradition" to actually be based on Michigan tradition.

Love the "Michigan" on the back collar. There are really nice pieces to this jersey...but for real, the sugar bowl logo is ENORMOUS! I would have made it match the block M in size. (I.e. Both should be the size of the current block M). The maize trim on the numbers would have been fine if they were larger overall.

They're not great by any means.  But they're better than the ND jerseys and whatever the hell those things were the team wore against Sparty.

I really miss this...

We're never going to get this back, are we?

The mock-up image had blue undershirts with block Ms on the sleeves. Although it doesn't really matter, I thought that the blue added some good balance to the uniform. Anybody know what happened to these?

The Jersey they configured for tonight is not Michigan that is for damn sure an heres why.
1. I hate the block M on the shoulder. It looks misplaced and should not be on the front of the shirt.
2. The stripes on the sleeves WTF IS WITH THAT? Are we Michigan or the Indianapolis Colts?

3. The numbering is not traditional Michigan printing either and without any yellow lining along the sides it looks plain and boring.

4. The word MICHIGAN above the name space is incredibly tacky and looks like something out of K-Mart.

Overall it is a hideous design from Adidas and it is by far the ugliest jersey I have seen. Why can't they just wear the road uniforms they wore in the Illinois game? Those were awesome road jerseys.
