Too bad they don't show a thermometer. I was freezing my ass off out there. Couldn't stay out for the lacrosse game because the girlfriend was freezing about ten times as worse than me. Poor thing.

What an amatuer though. I sat through Michigan-northwestern 2006. I can handle anything. But once she mentioned going to Pizza House for dinner, I couldn't resist.

I wasn't at 2008. I was at 2006 and oh lord was it dreaful. 75% of the crowd left at halftime, and Lloyd was pissed about it the next day as he was quoted in the paper the next day about the students and mostly everyone bailing.

It wasn't snowing like 2008. It was ice cold with actual, downpouring rain. Indicated by 17-3 score. Michigan forced something like 4 consecutive fumbles on NW drives.

That was a bad read by Hayes on the safety.  The hole was back up the middle.  He might have still got planted, but he had a better chance getting downhill than trying to bounce it.

Have I mentioned I love Coach Hoke?

He has his players' backs ... never talks 'em down ... and these kids will walk through walls for Hoke and the other coaches.

Both the first one at 1pm and just now in the "remix" thread.

All in all, the team played well, no major injuries and we're looking pretty good moving into the summer. The freshman and Bellomy and Ryan's recoveries seem like they're the biggest keys.

I say Bellomy, but I can't imagine Shane would be worse than he was last year. Cleary and Swieca both looked better.

Hoke seemed much happier and more positive than he typically is in general during pressers.  I don't know if that's just because it's spring and not in the middle of a season full of stress, but it just sorta seems like he knows something we don't yet and he's happy about it.

Couple of thoughts from a guy who doesn't really know a lot. Drake Johnson looks like a legit starter, tough guy to bring down. Hayes seems bad at blocking at this point or maybe it was just the one block. He certainly doesn't look like Vince out there. James Ross is a man, possibly THE man.

Yeah, Hayes looked the worst of the four RBs, and there are an additional three guys who are going to fight for carries come September.

I would love to see some shotgun packages with Norfleet and Green/Smith lined up either side of Gardner. Play action to Green/Smith with Norfleet going on a wheel route or underneath route could be a huge play. He's lethal in space.
