Haha is that a bubble screen at 1:02?

DEVIN GARDNER AT QB!?!?!

#38 (Rawls I think) has GRIT.

Denard made some tight throws, but I saw a couple of wobbly passes. Devin Gardner has an arm! Surprising he made that throw to Dileo on the run.

I was concerned when the first two plays I saw were passes in which the QB didn't have their feet set, but they were set for every throw after that so I felt better.

The other thing I noticed was that I saw Miller playing C - I think for all the clips I saw.  With as much as is being made about Barnum at C, Miller was certainly getting some reps at that practice.

On Denard's TD run, Barnum pulls and has a nice block on Morgan (big collision). It looks to me like he made that play from the Center position*.  That's some good quickness right there!

*It looked like he was at Center there, so I went back to rewatch the clip and think I've confirmed it. The other linemen are Omameh, Schofield (who appears to be at LT for this play), Mealer, and I would assume an off-screen RT.

Desmond Morgan looks really physical. I hope he takes over for Demens next year. And lol at the guy (at 2:14) who jumps in the air to celebrate with Denard...as he walks away lol.

Besides the hoodie guy, Omameh goes in for a congrats but someone gets there first and he walks away.  Been there, done that.  Gets some good sideline coaching.  ("Seniors have to keep competing!")  At 2:31 he goes in again and finishes.

Thanks! I've been hankerin for some practice video. I think the offense is really gonna take off this year. It'll be tough replacing Molk and Hemingway, but I think Denard will be improved, and I expect the running backs to rack up more yards too.

Nice. Stuff I loved:

1. Throw on the run by DG. He has some arm!

2. Option run by Denard. Old magic continues!

3. Snaps not being fumbled (one was a little awry - but okay). C position is fine!

4. Rawls - once he has momentum, he breaks tackles.

Need moar of these... Sept is so far away.

Do you really think they'd add muffed/fumbled/bad snaps to a 2 and a half minute highlight video?

I don't think you can look into that short series of plays and draw too many conclusions.

Wow!  That is really surprising.  If he's legit, that would add some nice depth at CB.  He always looked like he had the speed and quickness to be a good corner, but I only remember him looking lost half the time as a true freshman.  Hopefully he's ready for prime time now.

Hoke has said many many times that older guys sit more to prevent injury and to let the younger guys get reps. Especially since during the year, you don't get to rep the backups as much and many are running the opposing team's stuff.

We know what Floyd can do. He's a decent B1G CB, no top speed, takes too many chances, inconsistent tackler..."heady," short memory, physical, can make some plays.

Last Spring we couldn't sit as many older guys because they were all learning too (however, RVB, Martin, etc. did sit more at the end of the spring).

Toussaint is sharing a lot of reps, Lewan is sitting to get Schofield and others time at LT, I would expect Omameh to start to sit more for Chris Bryant as well. On defense there are so many new players in new positions, but Demens, Floyd and Kovacs are the 3 I'd expect to sit to allow other guys (Bolden, Hollowell/Talbott, Robinson) to play more.
