VIDEO: Michigan Defense vs. Notre Dame Every Snap
This is equal-ish parts good defense and Notre Dame is overrated IME. Still the most surprisingly good performance of the non-conference schedule. Mattison is a wizard.

This game as the polar opposite of the VTech game. There VTech totally outplayed us but we won, here we outplayed ND but they won. And even though we won the VTech game, I left with a bad taste because we really looked pretty bad that game against a team that got housed by Clemson twice.
I went to VT, Bama and ND games and now crown myself a bad luck charm. I'm going to stay home for a while.

Yes, thanks for posting. I finally got a view of that PI in the end zone. It looks like more obvious a call than it did whe ni was in the stands. I was pretty irrate, because that ball wasn't catchable, but we did hold him there, so....whatever.

I don't think they did play action ONCE.

Kudos to Jake Ryan and the rest of the defense. They played one hell of a game, and gave us every chance to win. I look on this game now and it really feels like karma. Last year, turnovers killed Notre Dame in a game that they deserved to win. I don't know if we necessarily "deserved" to win this game at any point, but we had every chance to win, and turnovers killed us.

ND definitely deserved to win. Michigan SHOULD have won.
I know I am stealing a Hoke-ism, but man could you really "hear" that defense, especially in the first half.
Did anyone else see ND O-line doing some nice holding on BWC? I noticed it at the beginning of the game.
I didn't think ND was that vanilla: they did a fair amount of screens, and swing routes to Riddick.
I'll end with this-- I LOVE me some Jake Ryan. Man can that guy play some football.

Dude is tough, hard to block, doesn't stay blocked, and damn quick for his size. Sure tackler too.

Wow what is Frank Clark doing on that second play? He has his head pointed down and totally obliterates any hopes of contain all on his own. Is Kovacs contain there? Either way, yikes that looks like poor form. He actually ends up next Roh on the opposite side of the line.

Is it just me, or did that last play that gave them the 1st down and the opportunity to run the clock down look like a bad spot? Just sayin....

I lost my shit when the refs gave them that first down. It seemed that even the commentators were surprised by the spot.

Check the play starting at 13:10 of Q4. After the play, Gordon trash-talking the guy who just juked him for an extra 8-10 yards.
Also, did anyone else notice ND's FIRST field goal? It starts out in a screaming left hook and seems to straighten out about half way. I noticed it live, too.

It just looks like he was jawing a bit.
Also, you have the same avatar as I guy I graduated with has as his FB profile pic. Since it's a bit unusual, are you maybe that same guy?

Desmond Morgan had a nice game too.

I'm still trying to decide if ND's offense is any good at all. They have been shut down by us and Purdue, and partially shut down by MSU.

Offense is coming as well, I thought this was best the offensive line has looked as well.

still eats at me. Was a huge penalty in this game. Especially so late in the 4th quarter with our defense needing a stop. Boys at the line with Ryan and Kovacs played great. Need that performance against Purdue next Saturday.

Results based charting, sir.
Edit: I meant to post this on the UFR thread. Watching "every snap" video while reading UFR fail.
