Hail! to the Victors Valiant Hail!
Someone should ask Hoke how he goes about his tape exchanges.
We'll find out in a couple weeks if we beat State. Surely they'll complain about something.
University of Tom Brady, B.A. '10; University of Peyton Manning, J.D. '13.
WHEN we beat State.
“True loyalty is that quality of service that grows under adversity and expands in defeat. Any street urchin can shout applause in victory, but it takes character to stand fast in defeat. One is noise — the other, loyalty.”
"Sometimes a punt is a good play..." "...Sticking your foot in the ground and going north and south is a good play.."
Clearly, the coaches, coach Hoke at least, are encouraging Denard to do the basic things required to be a competent senior quaterback. Throw it away, take a sack, tuck and run, etc.. Denard just isn't doing that.
Lewan: "..there are things coach Borges called that didn't get into the game." Wow, there we have it. Are we still going to berate Borges for that game?
Someone is not a fan of this particular perspective.
Abort, Retry, Fail?
Because of course no one could ever possibly come up with the same thoughts independently. That would be complete lunacy. We all are just Brian Cook's puppets.
I am enraged that the piping on our football players' uniforms is not consistently the same from player to player. Furthermore, the Block M should never be worked into uniform design, and any sort of striping, shading, or otherwise accentuating the shoulders is much too progressive for my tastes.
Abort, Retry, Fail?
If he gets praised for calling a GREAT game...why can't people talk about the horrible game he called.
No one will ever be able to defend the trickeration and "cute" stuff he called (not just the Smith play) when we were in the Red Zone vs. a ranked rival on the road. Up 21 late in the 2nd half? Sure, KILL THEM. But get the points if they're handing them out like candy on Halloween.
I thought he called a BRILLIANT game vs. UMass. And not becuase it was UMass and it worked. I thought he did what he needed to do to get up. I thought he established Fitz a little bit. I thought we got a lot of guys involved...and then we worked on some "funky" stuff and gave ND something to prepare for. I thought it was masterful.
ND was the opposite. You just can't pull that shit that early in the game in that situation. Like I said, if we were up 21 late in the game, fine...even if it doesn't work...I get it. Being up 14-0 in the first quarter is a bigger dagger than scoring on a trick play. 7 points is 7 points no matter how you get it.

The play was open. There was an obvious lack of execution by the players in having a LB screaming towards Vincent Smith as he's about to pass. As Lewan said, there were a plethora of missed assignments, and maybe one of them was on that trick play. Even so, the play was open and all that was necessary on the part of Vince was to lead Dileo to the corner of the endzone with the pass to have sure touchdown.
WHOA BRO!! How DARE you restrict the FLOW!?!

Love the new avatar.
When the ADept sells special jerseys and gear, you'll see my picture next to the targeted customer crowd. A sheep.....but a Blue one.....
Lewan's video was pretty telling. 23 missed assignments and they had calls from the OC that didn't make it to the field. And it was still a close game.
i'm pretty sure the OL have been tooling around a2 on mopeds for the last few weeks. i'm kind of sad we haven't gotten any comment on the motorized twosie replacements yet.

Thank you, sir. You threw me for a second there, with the new avatar.
