I was responding to your suggestion that Urban Meyer and Dantonio are sweating over Winston and Petty's statements. I agree with the notion that we have gotten a prime-time staff and should be competitive in the near future, but the impact of Winston/Petty unto themselves is marginal at best.

If your point was just what the quotations show in the greater context of what Harbaugh can bring to the program, then my bad. They certainly do reflect the cache that Harbaugh brings to the table as a former, successful NFL coach.

If you're a top QB recruit, you have to be impressed by this. It's not going to cause guys to commit, but just having Harbaugh to coach you at Michigan should get top QB talent to Michigan.

Honest question--did Harbaugh actually coach these guys during their visit? It seems like a private consulting firm rented out the field house to coach these guys through actual drills, and then at some point Harbaugh dropped buy to say hello and then offer more classroom type of advice (interview tips etc.) from the standpoint of a recent NFL coach.

Still is great for recruiting and the sound bites from the guys just reek of WIN. But I don't think that they literally came to AA just to have Harbaugh personally put them through their paces for a few days on the field.

Man, if I was a high school quarterback being recruited by Harbaugh, it would have to take some extraordinary circumstances for me not to commit...immediately.  I simply cannot think of a better college coach to prepare a QB for success at the collegiate and professional level than Harbaugh.  Plus, as Winston and Petty point out, the facilities we have to offer are second to none.

This is the first footage of Harbaugh at Michigan where he looks like he's being himself. I don't think he was a fan of all the pressers, interviews, etc etc ... but he looks comfortable as can be out there coaching.

Anyone else notice Jedd Fisch at the end of the video sitting in on their meeting taking notes?  That man looks like me at one of my old internships, just trying to soak as much in as possible.  He's working his tail off and I think he deserves an appreciation thread.  JK, but seriously, I'm glad a hard worker like him is on staff trying to learn from the greatest.

We're being gracious guests. I think people are making too much of their comments re: facilities.

It was interesting that Harbaugh was giving them advice on NFL interviews. What better way to prepare than talking to a guy who used to do the interviewing?
