Winston's comment about the facilities being excellent was also interesting.  Kind of took for granted that a major program like FSU would match what we have, but I guess not.

I always wonder if recruits actually see these kind of videos when there's a great piece on mgoblue or BTN. I know they're not regularly perusing Mgoblog or mgoblue.com.

Hopefully this helps us land Costello...

It seems like at least a few would stumble onto these just by doing research about the programs and schools at Michigan anyway, though obviously you wouldn't rely on people just happening upon the site.

I would have to think that at least directing recruits to the site for things like this is probably just fine per the NCAA (electronic correspondence is allowed in some forms anyway). If the links to videos were in an e-mail, I believe that passes the test. This was also tweeted out for general consumption, so there's definitely no issue here.

I don't think you can send out physical media like DVD for these things, at least not to uncommitted recruits, but I could be wrong there.

They're recruiting guys, the whole staff up and down the line.  Often this includes adding them and communicating with them on twitter and facebook.  Wouldn't it be simple enough to send a tweet, or a quick facebook post, saying "Happy Wednesday KJ You're A Baller check out this quick video."  Would certainly work for non-QBs as well, given the comments about facilities and the notoriety of the visitors.

Al Glick is arguably the best indoor practice facility in the country and they probably worked out there seeing as it's 0 degrees outside. I doubt FSU has something as nice since they can practice outside 365 days of the year.

high school kids using other school's players.

Florida State's heisman trophy winner just went on tape and endorsed Michigan's program, coach, and facilities.

I'm speechless. . .

This will be another thing Harbaugh can use to recruit. When it comes to NFL type QB we should have the best in the big ten soon. It will be interesting to see that compared to Meyer's guys.

props to our coach and our facilities.

Not to start anything, but I have some unease about UM prominently featuring Jameis.  I suppose everyone is entitled to due process, but boy did he look like a jerk (at a minimum) in college.  Looked like one of the sound bites was Harbaugh trying to coach them up on interviews.  Jameis can certainly use that help.

From watching him on the sidelines during the Clemson game, he seemed like a good teammate and not a cancer.

I'm only half-joking, but maybe the Buccaneers could buy a few strip clubs and pay the women to keep Jameis occupied and out-of-trouble with consenting adults.

Perhaps if he gets into the right environment, he might not cause any more trouble than a Joe Namath or a Jim McMahon?

No matter what you may think of Winston....THIS IS HUGE for Michigan. All of those incoming recruits could care less (well most at least) or never followed his legal troubles to point of concern. They just know how popular he is, was the heisman trophy winner, had a national championship under his belt and went to the first CFB playoffs.

Could OSU or MSU ever have this happen? Maybe... if they hired a coaching staff with such in depth experience but not with the current staff.

I would love to see Dantonio's sour face over this. This is going to make Meyer start to sweat a bit and lose some sleep if he hasn't already.  If Meyer hated going against Saban, he hasn't seen anything yet with Harbaugh.

Michigan just screams championship caliber. Give it 3 years or less---we'll be in the CFB playoff hunt for sure.

*Yawn*. Tell me something I don't know Captain Obvious. You're missing my point entirely.

What other program can say we have a coach where other players come to  get advice about the combine or NFL?

I know the wins and losses will weigh in heavily although it has been proven that isn't as big as a factor as you'd think given what was said by the recruits we lost when Hoke and staff was fired.  My statement stands: We have championship caliber staff and we'll be in the hunt in 3 or less years. I'm not the only one saying it either, a lot of national pundits are saying the same thing.
