"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."
Fergodsakes, thank you.
Hey dude, there's this awesome website called mlive.com, where there is tons of discussion about Michigan sports. Perhaps you should check it out?
Correction; there's a place called the Red Cedar Message Board that he should check out.
His point is that you're acting like a fucking mouth breather.
Everybody be nice. It can take time for new people to acclimate to the new surroundings.
Not a promising start... but it could turn around.
You made a typo UNFORTUNATELY. Also, you have no excuse then due to your first statement. Step your game up.
Haggle: (v) To bargain, as over the price of something.
Who is Michigan Sports Man? Is it Brian Cook?
Maybe this guy?
By far the most entertaining thread in a while. Things are chippy around here no?... Sorry i'll take my bad jokes to BSD
Did you stop at 7th grade?
Picking fights on the Internet. Cool dude! Also, let's fight!!!! Woohoo!!!!
Given your history, you're like 6 inches from a banhammer. Back off.
Icy Blue Lot Stuntaz? This is easily the worst presser thread ever.
Being 8-replies deep in the thread has a slimming effect.
EDIT: Let's see what Ondre will look like once Wellman gets his hands on him.
EDIT 2: Darn, what am I doing wrong?
I didn't critique his grammar at all. Only his spelling. Also....Can I do that?
There's nothing wrong with starting a sentence with Also.
I was going to tell him that but I didn't want to ruin his day anymore than it already was.
Some of your statement I agree with. I do however enjoy some of the self monitoring. Seems to have less team bashing. As far as the name calling, I'd rather have a "mouth breather" reference than a hateful gay slur.
We are a kind bunch here. Here is a link that I hope helps you.
So much flameout so fast. I'd feel bad, but I tried to throw you a bone and you were all, "yeah, you all suck."
You're welcome to stay if you'd like. But it may be best if you sit this one out for a while.
You do realize the irony in your incessant bitching about other people bitching, don't you? Just an FYI, when EVERYONE disagrees with you, that doesn't necessarily mean they're all crazy, it's possible that you're just wrong.
If you want a blog riddled with misspellings, shit talking and juvenile phrases like "that's gay," you're welcome to go elsewhere or start your own website (you can find many others to talk Michigan). But don't expect this community to change how it operates just because you think it's "annoying as fuck." There's a reason this is the only website I've ever created a username for -- it mostly avoids the nonsense found on a lot of the web that really makes normal, thinking people question the intelligence of the average person.
One more thing, pretty sure you're an MSU troll.
Correct it is not a good insult. Is that why you got your panties in a bunch and wrote 4.5 sentences over it?
And to come back with "gayest" term? Really. Ro
Bro. Sorry iPhone not cooperating.
Is it just me or has Brady lost a few pounds?
He seemed genuinely pleased.
I liked the body language when talking about Rawles.
I liked what Hoke said at the very beginning about how they were going to put them out of their comfort zone so that Saturdays were easy. We have a staff who can balance the positive reinforcement, conditioning and motivational aspects of practice and conditioning with the idea that Saturday will be a relative breeze. That's certainly not a bad thing.
I also like it when Hoke talks about how, if the coaches have to be the leaders of the team, that distracts from their own job and decreases their effectiveness. This is important, and I hope that the experience with the Navy SEALs underscores the need for players to be the leaders on the field.
One of the more interesting questions, to me, was the one towards the end where they asked him what he wanted to see out of this team, and the answer was somewhat Bo-esque to me. Basically, physical and mental toughness, and I think that this staff can achieve that in a way that mixes new school management and some old school football - I think it will yield some great results myself.
It's highly entertaining to watch this press conference while simultaneously reading the transcript.
We have not had a good meltdown since the days of the negbang. Surely, this is a sign from the gods.
Presser video AND meltdown?!?
First presser thread of the year and it's a chippy one.
Or did Craig James get here first?
Brady Hoke has to be one of the best press conferences in the country, right? I love his nothing responses. Like he'll answer the questions, but he won't really answer them. As in you get nothing concrete. There are so many Hokeisms (as Tremendous noted, only 3 tremendouses in this press conference). He might not be the most entertaining, but he's a joy to watch. May be it's just because he's so Michigan.
You probably have to have Les Miles, Steve Spurrier, and Mike Leach up there as most entertaining. I'm in the minority of people who loves Lane Kiffin because he's just such a douchebag, and it's hilarious how much of a douchebag he is. I just love the way Hoke carries himself though, which is why he'd have to be high up on my list.
Sorry if this is an idiotic question- googling football terminology is apparently harder than it would seem- when brady talks about 7 on 7's, I get what he means- but 9 on 7's is a term I've never heard before- anyone know what personnel that refers to?
9 on 7 is a running game drill.
All of the offense minus the two wide receivers.
All of the defense minus the four defensive backs.
Thanks again for the Presser Video!
I know about MLive and Ann Arbor.com, but having the transcript with the video gives me that warm and chippy feeling. Time to order the Michigan Student Shirt, and begin planning the pilgrimmage to Ann Arbor mecca!
is that Coach Hoke didn't give us more information about that punting battle! Inquiring minds want to know, coach!
