I would assume its number 21... he looked like a pretty big, athletic kid... outside of the first two possesions, Shane showed a ton of promise... Wish the coach called a few more plays with traditional dropbacks instead of awkward bootlegs to the right where he is required to throw across his body....
But, either way.. he should be very good after Borges gets ahold of him for a few years.

So I rarely watch high school football footage aside from highlight reels. Are most OLs that horrible is DLS's especially bad?

that o-line let him down; he seemed hesitant to enter the pocket a couple times because the line was basically a sieve. i was suprised at how nice his short throws looked, cant wait to see what he does with a real line in Ann Arbor!

Just the facts.
1st pass: obviously underthrown
2nd: late decision gets receiver laid out
3rd: Turnstile blocking by DLS left tackle leads to Shane sidestepping initial rush, but others then join. Under pressure, Shane tries to make something out of nothing. Pass falls harmlessly incomplete.
4th: Rolls right, under some pressure, delivers what looks like very nice throw to outside receiver on far sideline. Incomplete, though.
5th: WR screen. Good throw, but cornerback reads it well, maybe too well as it looks like he gets there early. Block on that CB obviously was not made. Incomplete.
6th: Very nice accuracy and touch shown on pass to tight end in the flat. Potential big gainer likely limited by receiver stepping out of bounds. 12 yards.
7th: Shane again goes to the TE in the flat against the cover 2, but this time the TE doesn't bite on the playfake. Shane overthrows.
8th: Shane delivers an accurate ball on a WR screen that results in a fair gain, but is negated by a holding call.
9th Rolls to his left and makes easy completion to his TE in the flat for a short gain.
10th: Shotgun. Waits and bombs it long under some pressure. Looks like a good throw, db gets good coverage, might have been there early. Incomplete.
11th: Plenty of time. Morris finds wr on a wheel route sitting in a hole in the D's zone. 20 yd TD.
12th: Morris flashes decent speed for a pocket passer on a scramble
13th Morris rolls right and finds big WR on out route. Completion negated by penalty.
14th: Another very accurately delivered out route completed. About 9 gained on the play.
Stopped around 3:10, gotta go to bed. If anyone else wants to finish this god bless.

looks like his OC settled down. those sreens were awful. he looked so much more comfortble taking 3 and 5 step drops.

I believe the quick decision making/focusing on one target was brought up in The Opening. Its a good point but yeah the whole no o-line doesn't make it easy for the kid. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of his season goes.

There are actually two Wangler boys. He has a sr and jr.
The receiver he hung out to dry in the beginning was his kid brother.
The backup QB is the 2nd best QB in the catholic league right now

No wonder he's been so hard at work recruiting, he's got to be sick of running for his life (and dropped passes). He showed nice touch on that screen pass, dropped it in right over the defenders.
