Video of Chip Kelly breaking down plays

Smart Football posted a bunch of links to Chip and Brian Baldinger break down plays for the Eagles replay show....absolutely brilliant! kinda refreshing to watch an offensive play caller breaking plays down!

As an Eagles fan, I have been pleasantly surprised with how quickly Chip Kelly's ideas have translated to the NFL. Before I came to Michigan, Michigan football was all about the RichRod spread and the Eagles were Andy Reid West Coast. It has completely switched....I tend to like watching the spread more. #FireBorges

Nick Saban, Bob Stoops, Pete Carroll, Jim Harbaugh, Tony Dungy, Bill Bellichick, etc. There seems to be almost no relation between perceived genius on one side of the ball and success as a head coach. There are numerous instances of coaches with defensive backgrounds winning due to their offense and vice versa. Pete Carroll was a DC (and a failed head coach) before setting the world on fire with Palmer, Lienhart, Bush, White, Smith, Williams, et al. Bill Belichick was a DC (and a failed HC) before becoming the offensive genius behind the Pats' ever evolving offense (which has won nothing since the D stopped being good). Tony Dungy gets hired to bring D to Indy, regularly fields mediocre Ds, wins Super Bowl because of Manning. There are also geniuses who go on to be bad/underwhelming HC. Buddy Ryan. Rex Ryan. Norv Turner. Coach Rod at Michigan. Dana Holgorson at WVU. A head coach is so much more than a coordinator. Certain guys have what it takes. I think Hoke does. We will see.

That's fair. They have won a ton of games. But their three Superbowl teams had top 6 defenses. Since they became a more offensive focused team, they're 0-2 in the Superbowl. Sounds weird, but Tom Brady becoming a superstar might have actually hurt them. First, you have to pay him a ton, then you have to make sure your great investment has weapons and protection, and next thing you know, those top defenses are gone.

There's one quality every winning coach, general, teacher, whatever, must have: Leadership.

I get the sense coach Hoke has that quality.  So does coach Mattison.

Let's see, did I forget anyone?

this is not a thread to attack the coaching ability of any of the Michigan coaches, its more a cool insight to see a coach breaking down his own film.....

and the fact that our offensive coordinator doesn't like to do anything close to this.
