I tell ya what, folks. Despite all the nonsense and crap with RR's tenure, his being here brought Barwis into this kid's life. I'd say, in the final analysis, it was a net positive for the cosmos.

Brock provides me with so much inspiration everyday. He keeps me believing that I can accomplish my goals and dreams one day. Thanks Brock and keep up the great work!!!!

...on which I spend an inordinate amount of time and energy, are nothing compared to what Brock Mealer dealt with. I stand in awe of whatever source of inspiration he used to find the strength and commitment necessary to accomplish a miracle.

And we can say what we want about Rich Rodriguez as a football coach but how he took Brock under his wing when it really mattered shows me that he is a man of considerable character. And to me that is a high compliment.

Let's open up this thread and take a look. After all, who could have a problem with a formerly paralyzed guy walking by himse... JESUS CHRIST HOW DID THIS TURN INTO A DEBATE ABOUT JESUS CHRIST?

This is gonna be a brutal offseason.

To be honest I couldn't believe there was no reponse to that comment when I opened the thread. Makes sense now...

I would have eliminated the original comment too. Let's just all agree that we're happy for the guy and leave religion out of it.

Its amazing how much progress he has made after a couple of years after the doctors told him he had a 1% chance of ever walking again. Truly an amazing person and a Michigan Man!

THAT is one of the things I honestly miss with Barwis...his dedication to the man was phenominal. Very happy he landed on his feet here in Michigan using his talent to continue growing men...and kudos for Brock and all he's been through, put himself through, and accomplished...I don't care what level of permanence his limitations are...what he's overcome is remarkable to be able to walk on his own power is astounding...just wow and thanks for the post. I have full confidence in our current S/C team...but Barwis was and still is a pure gem helping Michigan men even still. Would love the chance to sit and pick his brain even for an hour...

Amazing.  IIRC he leaf the team out a couple years ago with the canes.  Would love to see him lead them out again, only without them.  Wouldn't be a dry eye in the Big House.
