Him talking about Kovacs at 11:00 mark made me laugh. Kovacs and G-Matt are awesome.
I don't think I realize how much I'm going to miss Kovacs after the year is over.
I could listen to this man talk for hours.
listening to an old sage or a sensei.
How cool would it be to be his apprentice?
I'm convinced he could pull in 11 MGoBloggers and manage to put out a serviceable defense.
When you look at what he started with and what they had by season's end, it was amazing. I think, as I'm sure most people here do, that he got snubbed for the Broyles Award last year.

It depends on which mgobloggers. If it was eleven of me, they would need eleven ambulances after one play.
"Denard has made a big improvement in the first two days of practice."
Big Al is looking gorgeous as ever. I also noted at the end of the Borges video when all the suggested videos came up that Borges has worn the exact same thing in literally every presser he's been in. I cracked up at that. These coaches are not about glitz.
I hear he just has 6 of those windbreakers and rotates all of them.
For the seventh day, it's gametime!
"This isn't cross country. They can run all over the place, but if they won't hit anybody, I'm not gonna like 'em as much." I literally laughed out loud when he said that.
I love how he talks about every single player like they are his sons. It is easy to understand how seemingly every recruit we have signed talks about the family atmosphere here. It is obvious that this group of coaches truly cares for every member of this team like they would their own son and wants them to grow as football players and as men.
April 14th can come soon enough.
If I was in the room I would be giving a standing ovation. These pressers are great!
haha, the Borges transition from listening to speaking in the beginning is hilarious. He looks so bored prior to answering.
Does anyone know when the roster weights get updated? I've made it a pastime to over-analyze the absolute shit out of the new weights.
Just want to point out Borges answered the Devin Gardner debate from a previous thread, not an exact quote, but states point blank that Devin Gardner is still the back up QB.
From his best 11 on the field comments, until and unless the freshman WRs come out blazing, I'm guessing we see Devin Gardner on the field a lot as a WR, but if Denard gets dinged up, it's Devin Gardner then Bellomy
What idiot asked that last question to Mattison? He clearly said how he felt about the freshman when a question was asked abotu J. Wilson.
Also, what is the hard on for Will Campbell?
Not one question about Washington's expectations or progress. Or the DT/5 Tech Spot in general. Also, no meniton of Jake Ryan or Cam Gordon. Could Ryan play some WDE so Gordon can play SLB?
They ask about Wilson, who clearly isn't even in the 2-deep...but didn't ask about Marvin Robinson or Josh Furman.
All the coaches do an insanely good job of both talking the kids up and describing flaws without really criticizing the players.
No wonder recruits spend a weekend on campus and then just commit. It's hard to understand why someone wouldn't after talking to these guys.

Amen ... I'm telling ya, I love these guys. Just love 'em. Real deal through and through.
And I must confess ... when Mattison spoke of Roh play 5-technique and my understanding what that meant ... it shows reading MGoBlog pays rich dividends!

Are these two men brothers

Every single coach on staff right now seem to be variations on the same exact theme. When not talking about schemes or particular players, you could read a quote and not know who said it. It's actually kind of amusing.
In Heiko's MGoProfile, he made an interesting point comparing Mattison to a dog and Borges as a cat. With that new perspective going into these pressors, I definitely see it. But at the same time, they're both just so awesome. With their excitement over what they do and their clear love of the players.
I will second the question, why the Will Campbell question obsession? He was brought up a few times in Hoke's presser as well.
why the Will Campbell question obsession?
People want an assurance the issue of Mike Martin's departure is answered.
Wisely, the coaches refuse to take the bait.

No matter which coach is talking, they all come across as extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Hoke really did a fantastic job of assembling a top notch group of people to lead and develop the program.
