That is a great point by Mattison talking about how Coach Hoke will run D vs. Pro style all the time... not like the last regime who did not understand that concept and it showed with swiss cheeze defense. Mattison is all about positioning and technique and fundamentals. This is Michigan.

Part of it was lack of intent on RR's part, but part of it was a lack of capability. Even his scout team players weren't big & tough enough (by design) to properly emulate a pro-style offense. Our offense right now is a bit of a hybrid, so we can prepare the defense for both sides, but once we become 100% Manball in a few years we will have the same problem, just for dealing with opposing spread offenses.
