The coaches have repeatedly mentioned that they are coaching Blake hard in order to avoid the sophomore slump that is often associated with players who experienced a great deal of success their freshman year. Judging by this interview it seems Blake realizes that the past is the past, and to have a successful career at Michigan he needs to keep his eyes trained on the future. Hopefullly a very, very bright future!

I think he'll be a great one

My favorite part of the video though: "He finished his first season with a career high 8 tackles".  No shit.

Just took a gander at Blake's Hello post.  Tim thought Countess was a sure bet for a redshirt due to his size and likely wouldn't have the chance to start until he was an upper classman.  Glad he turned out to be so wrong.  Countess is going to be a stud.  I also noticed that T Rich seems to have been ranked better coming out of hs, and from the way he's trending, it looks like Lewis probably will too.  It would not suck if TRich and Lewis do indeed turn out to be even better than Countess.

Blake Countess WILL be an All-American and 1st Team All-B1G before he leaves Michigan.

I'll also go as far to say he'll be no worse than a 3rd round draft pick in the NFL.

Finally a pure CB. Avery is nice in the nickel, great hips...if we can find a big physical CB who can matchup with the bigger WRs, we'll be in GREAT shape.

He does seem really level-headed and down to earth. If he keeps progressing like it appears he is in the spring practice highlights, he will be a special corner by the time all is said and done. He has the ball skills and recovery speed to make a move on the ball to either bat it away, or intercept it (and I hope he gets a few this season).

but jeez I like how our secondary is looking now vs. just two years ago.  The OSU game last year proves they have a ways to go, but it's promising.  Really glad we have Avery for certain packages and as a reliable backup.  That kid has made some nice plays for us as well.

I like what i see, no entitlement, hard nosed, pushing for leadership as a sophmore. After graduating with Rich Rods departure this are really looking up for Michigan Football, This is going to be fun. Fergodsakes
