I love how the announcers, when talking about Hoke, mention that job number one when he came to SDSU was "installing toughness." I can't wait until our team toughs the hell out of the competition.

to the wire with a possible national title contending team....not too shabby.  Overall record does not tell all.

(And U of M gets blown out my Miss. St. U in a bowl game...just saying)

Just had to get that shot in at RichRod, didn't you? Just saying.

Actually, none of the stats from the second half count as they were down by more than 3 scores in the 3rd quarter. TCU must have let up. It isn't the same when you are down that much. They were never in the game.....did I hit all of the points why our stats didn't count in the 2nd half this year? The double standard is amazing.

We were came closer to beating Iowa or Penn State than they were to beating TCU.  The first touchdown stemmed from a 50 yd trick play and the 2nd was a fumble recovered in the end zone.  It wasn't as if their lines were "out toughing" TCU all day.

Just to play devil's advocate, should we just discout those first two touchdowns?  That was a completely forced turnover and touchdown on a great defensive play, as well as a perfectly executed trick play.  Against a really freakin' good team.  A team much better than Iowa or PSU.

Sorry, I didn't mean to come off as discounting the first two TDs.  They scored them, so power to them.  My biggest worry with the Hoke regime is the Borgess offense.  I was just pointing out that they didn't move the ball that well against TCU.  If it were up to me, hoke would have paid Mattison-level money for a top spread OC as well.

Pretty strange game.  TCU was up 37-14 at one point and one of SDSU's first two TDs came off a fumble recovery in the endzone.  Looks like TCU relaxed at the end there.

TCU slacked off against Hoke at the end much like Michigan and Lloyd did against Hoke (then ballin' at Ball State) in 2006. Still, they played hard
