Very OT: Is this Michigan Facebook page for real?

I follow a lot of sports writers on Twitter, and just saw this:

Matt Hinton ‏@MattRHinton

Lotta ROCKSTARS, though. MT @smartfootball: ...a sad testament to the University of Michigan. No "Manball" here:https://www.facebook.com/mlawcompliments

So I had to check it out. Is this a way for law students to blow off steam? What gives?

Definitely not sanctioned by the University since the page lists a Gmail email address.

Pretty cool idea, though. Random anonymous shoutouts can be hilarious.

Anyone remember the site "juicycampus.com" that circulated around 2009, in which each college/university had their own page to "gossip" and discuss whatever they want completely annoymously? Things got pretty out of control on that site. Terrible things were written about students and professors on that site, yet it was addicting to read.   It was shut down due to lack of ad revenue.

We're not teaching them about sports, we're teaching them about life!

This is hilarious.  A more popular page for law students would be one that posted anonymous complaints rather than compliments.  Mine would have been:

Hey, a--hole in the first row:  Stop asking questions about the case that no one else has read so we can move on!  Testing is anonymous so the sh-t on your nose is worthless sh-t.

You sorts can be very useful in classes where there is not a set amount of material to cover. If we are just supposed to be figuring out how to find our way through the literature in some area, it's great, and a lot less work, to have a student who will reliably ask reasonable questions that generate productive exchanges.
