I know this is severely off topic, but at least it's athletically related and for a good cause. And it's not like there's anything crazy or important going on right now like conference realignments or MSU coach transfers or the World Cup or USC sanctions or anything cool like that. I'm signed up for the San Francisco marathon on July 25th, and am running with a team supporting Alzheimer's, Heart, and AIDS research at the UC-San Francisco Medical Center. I'm trying to raise $1000 for this great but underfunded cause before my race. I am reaching out to you, the interwebs, to try and help me out. Even just a couple dollars (maybe a fistful?) will go a long way. Your sponsorship is entirely tax deductible and secure, and you will be given a tax code upon donation. If you are a fellow runner or someone impacted by Alzheimer's, AIDS, or heart disease, feel free to leave a message or donate in someone's honor.
Thanks everybody, and Go Blue!
PS If this isn't cool to put on the Board (I understand why it might not be; it wouldn't be prudent for the board to fill up with everybody trying to sell their neice's girl scout cookies or something) then neg/say so appropriately in the comments and it will surely be duly deleted.
