Very OT- Ice Skate Donation

Submitted by Michigan Arrogance on

So, I've been looking for extremely cheap, used ice skates everywhere. Preferably donations, in fact. I need them for a group of kids who are learning to skate but have no skates at their disposal. The rink they will be using does not have skate rental available (?!?!?).

Really, they just need to borrow skates for about 2 weeks and they would be returned. I asked around at every rink I could find looking to borrow them off site. No dice. Thrift shops, no dice. Salvation Army shops, no dice.  I am stopping by Play It Again tomorrow, but that's my last resort.

Basically, I'm just fishing for more suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I have two pairs of hockey skates sizes 10 and 11 that I no longer fit into and if you would like them they are yours. Anything to help out youth skating! Let me know if you are interested!

Walmart?  Return them in two weeks because they "don't fit correctly"

I worked at a retail store a long time ago that took any return...no questions asked.  People would return their old spark plugs when changing them out among other things.

That chain isn't in business anymore.
