A Very M Thanksgiving

So, apparently there was at one point a Michigan football player balloon featured in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  The below photo is apparently from 1941, and the balloon was later repurposed as the Superman balloon (the balloon version of making it into the league perhaps?).

b/c rubber was in short supply and we were in the midst of WW II.  my guess is that tom harmon/super man ended up as a jeep tire somewhere in the south pacific.  service above self, he gave up life as a super hero and all american to live that out.
